Batum shoots 30% from 3 this season.

Against us he is 12/22.

We have a unique way of allowing **** players destroy us.

We lost the game because we gave up 49 points in the 1st quarter. The starters were in most of the quarter. 49 points is the most in the NBA this season. if you wanna disagree with him fine but our team defense is why we lost.

I thought this was going to be a tough one. CHA is playing better and it's tough to win on the road regardless. Kind of amazes me their record is that bad. I like their squad.

The bench actually had a lower +/- so the starters more than made up for their 49 point quarter. I did not expect that.

I always thought Bird oversells Burke, but man.

If Batum plays like this all the time, it would make taking on his contract a lot easier to swallow.

Ok, can we now offer trade for Kemba? Or there is still somebody who thinks DC is better player for Pacers?

Kemba+Batum > DC, Bojan, Leaf, Big Al + first rounder

I'd be shocked to learn we haven't talked to every team in the league. I'm inclined to believe that Kemba isn't available at a reasonable price, but time will tell. I also think you undervalue DC and overvalue players you watched in Europe but the later doesn't apply here.

I don't think a single person here thinks DC is a better player than Kemba.

I think the problem is not so much that the Pacers aren't willing to offer a fair deal for Kemba, it's that the Hornets are being very greedy with him. Feels like Hornets want everything in a Kemba deal, star calibre young player plus salary dump and all that. I feel that a fair trade is either they get a salary dump plus a few middling prospects, or a star calibre young player without a salary dump, but Hornets want what they want. Eventually, they'll just end up keeping Kemba, unless they get really desperate

The Pacers aren't going to offer a fair deal for Kemba, they are probably trying to get him pretty cheap.

The Hornets shouldn't trade Kemba unless they are getting a good deal. You can't just trade your star and get average prospects back. The fans would riot.

Depends on what's the definition of a fair deal, which understandably can vary quite considerably.

To me, given the situation the Hornets are in, a fair deal is either they get a few middling prospects (Leaf + Pacers 1st + another mid range 1st for example) in addition to a major salary dump (Batum). Or a star calibre young player (Myles Turner for example, or maybe Donovan Mitchell as another example) with no salary dump. It's unrealistic to ask for both a star calibre young player AND also a salary dump, that's just a bit greedy.

It's understandable that they'd want to be greedy though, given that they don't have much going for them besides Kemba Walker. That's why I said they'd likely end up just keeping Kemba Walker, until they get desperate enough

but that doesn't mean a good trade is available. I for one do not want to trade any of our big three but if we could have a big four, I'd lose a 1st and take on a contract.

Agreed. He would cost too much.
