I see the value of earning minutes. But I think a guy can be buried so deep behind other guys that opportunity never presents itself. And I think that’s where you would be if you had Young, Booker and Sabonis in line for minutes at the 4.

true, sort of like Joe Young who we all thought was playing out his only contract, and here finally he shows he can play beyond the summer league.
Leaf is very young. he can be buried on the bench for several years and still only be the age of a college senior when he gets his real chance.

It's a shame DC gets healthy as soon as Joe Young starts showing promise, now he's entirely out of the rotation. He really was playing well.
I don't dislike Leaf getting pushed out of the rotation though. He really wasn't adding much of value while he was on the court and Booker has been great so far. The Booker move signals to me that the FO is taking the playoff push seriously. I expect to see Leaf find his way back into the rotation next year (unless someone gets hurt this year) with an extra summer of training under his belt.
