Hate moral victories. The Pacers were the better team, plain and simple. This was one of my favorite Pacer Squads of all time, but somethings need to change during the offseason, especially consistency. The only player that seemed to show up, night in and night out this series, was Thad.

Oladipo had 30 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Plus, played some good defense. If you aren't pleased with his performance............I'm not sure what you expect from him. Did you expect him to also single-handedly shut down LBJ as well?

I wasn't ready for the season to end :(

Have to give props to LeBron. If he were just slightly less legendary, we would have won the series. Sucks, but we just keep running into an all-time great.

As for the Pacers... on the one hand, the season has already exceeded expectations enormously, so in a sense anything more was just gravy. OTOH, the Pacers were clearly much better than the Cavs, and it's really disappointing that we couldn't find a way to win.

Well, Pritchard now gets a chance to shuffle the roster. Outside of the core of Dipo/Turner/Sabonis, we have a lot of moving parts. It's going to be an interesting offseason for sure.

Me either.

You know, its odd. I'm not sure how I would define the "core" of the team. Sometimes it seems like 3-4 players, and other times it feels more like 8-9 players. Guess it depends in part on whether we have just won or lost. HA!

Really not sure about Turner. Yeah, he is still very young. Can he add enough muscle and will power to improve his rebounding? Can he learn to be a more rounded defender rather than have shot blocking (although important) as his primary defensive trait? Don't know. Will be interesting to see what his off-season looks like.

It was interesting to watch the post game show interviews of players on FSMW. So many of them expressing their thoughts about next year AS PART OF THIS TEAM. Pretty much to a man they want to be back with the Pacers. No hem-hawing around like some players from previous years have done.

It was a really exciting game. The loss sucks, but we competed.

Disappointing loss.

We had them tonight and we missed, this should burn deep and I expect VO to use this to fuel himself, along with the returning members of this team. Myles looked hurt bad by the outcome he knew was coming when he fouled out on that dunk,it was an unlucky play, but again, use it to drive.

We can be a contender.

Let's see some smart moves over the off season and not take getting to this point for granted. We need to bust our asses and improve to get back to this point, but we need to go further still to be a contender.

Thanks to all the players and coaches for a very enjoyable year. Saviour it, but don't be anywhere near satisfied.

That Myles Turner 6th foul was such a swing...

I wrote that on HT... he had 5 points only... I expected from him exactly what he did in second half... maybe he was reading this in Locker room...

The game was lost by one man and one man only, Nate McMillan. WTF are you doing sitting Vic and/or Collison when Lebron was out? By the time Vic got back in the game, the 2 point deficit was 8 with Lebron entering back into the game. Ride that third quarter momentum until the wheels fall off. Coach cost them the game.

Watched the NBATV postgame for the press room interviews. LeBron praised us. TT was asked about our 4's and praised Sabonis. Dipo called for respect. The Star has tweets showing that Dipo messaged his Florida trainer about starting work even before he showered.

I'm told that FoxSportsIN had some interesting locker room interviews but I didn't see them. anything worth repeating here?

I mean I get what your're saying. But, Vic was gassed. He exerted a lot of energy in the 3rd quarter comeback and I could see his chest moving in and out in the 3rd. He needed a break. I totally get your point, just don't know in reality if Vic is a guy that can play all 24 minutes of a half. He exerts a lot of energy on both ends.

Just what I posted earlier in this thread. Post #45

I will add to my previous post that it was nice to not hear ANY negativity at all from the guys. Very positive outlook from each of them.

Of course, Lebron goes 1-7 from 3 and 1-6 from the FT line in Game 1 vs the Raptors haha. He had only missed 5 of his last 50 or so FT attempts vs the Pacers and then starts missing against the Raptors. If he played like that against the Pacers in game 7, we would be playing in Toronto instead of the Cavs...

Maybe he is suffering from a "Pacers Hangover".

One interesting thing I heard from Barkley in a pregame was his opinion that the reason the Cav's bench had that run in game 7 was that when LeBron was in they all tended to stand around waiting for him to make a play. It reminded me of the Wizards saying with Wall out everyone could eat. Charles put the blame for the lack of an effective offense on Lue, but I think Lue only does what LeBron will allow him to do.
