Holiday was still aggressive against Sexton despite him knowing he is the higher pick and supposed better prospect. 8 assists and 8 turnovers But He will improve on his decision making with experience. Alize appears to be a solid player right now. I like his motor. Leaf on the other hand just seems like he may have regressed. Im wondering if the weight has affected his mobility. He seemed to move better in summer league last season. His explosion is not the same. He is playing Center so one would think he would have an advantage or mismatch to exploit.

I honestly can't see him being much bigger than last year, he's not more muscular at least not that I can see. I just think he's not an NBA player. :nonono:

Was trying to be optimistic.

who are the two way candidates? Sumner has one now leaving room for only one more unless you promote Sumner. I can see Alize getting a two way but I can also see him getting a guaranteed regular contract. I can see Moore getting a second year as a two way. I don't see much else on the summer roster other than wannabees. Poythress maybe. Sims maybe. blowing a 27 point lead took a lot of guys off my radar.

as much as I like the KOQ signing, I still see the hole as emergency center. Vegas announces said Ike had surgery but gave no details; it might have been a minor clean-up procedure that will be ancient history by training camp.

Moore and Alize are probably the only two candidates right now for that other 2 way. Otherwise, keep in mind that we’ll bring 20to training camp, so there’s another 5options for either a roster spot or a two way.

I'd give Alize a vet minimum deal or more years if we can. He looks like a solid player.

So no one bothered to watch the last game? LOL

FWIW Holiday and Leaf were held out. Sumner and Johnson looked good.

Not that it means anything, but here are some selected stats for the Summer League Pacers (top 7 guys in mpg):

Holiday 30.3 mpg, 14.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 6.8 apg, 34% FG
Leaf 24.5 mpg, 12.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 0.5 apg, 36% FG
Johnson 23.0 mpg, 12.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.6 apg, 43% FG
Poythress 20.2 mpg, 12.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 0.2 apg, 50% FG
Leslie 20.2 mpg, 8.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.6 apg, 42% FG
Sumner 19.3 mpg, 11.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.3 apg, 47% FG
Moore 19.2 mpg, 6.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.2 apg, 69% FG

Relative to expectations, I think Alize was clearly the best performer. I think he showed enough to earn a roster spot, either as a 2-way or even as a regular contract. Sumner was also intriguing enough that his 2-way spot should be safe. Both Holiday and Leaf struggled at times (Holiday also had a ton of TOs as I recall) but their contracts should keep them safe for now.

As for the other guys, I don't know. They'll probably be invited back for training camp, but I'm not too optimistic about their chances. Maybe if Alize gets a regular contract instead of a 2-way, then the 2-way slot can go to one of these guys. But it seems more likely that they'll end up on the Ants again.
