Game Thread 10/24: Pacers vs. Spurs

I’m on with starting Thad. Generally, guys over 30 play better starting (warmed up and whatnot) than coming off the bench. I just would prefer that Thad would get the early pull to the bench most times along with Collison.


Also, I’m not worried about the early shooting slump for Collison. It will bounce back to the neighborhood of his career averages, which is fine. I’m more concerned with his hesitancy and indecisiveness so far this year. If that’s how he’s gonna okay, we may need Holiday sooner than later.

Or, we can finnaly trade that limited player...

They are young too. So why would they want an "old and unuseful" guy. The logic makes no sense.

They have to many young players... they need some experiance in team.. DC would be good fit for them..

I would have to see Holliday/Sumner prove to be at least solid backup level at least before moving either of Collison or Joseph. We’re far from that thus far. As it is, Collison is still the best win now option we have right now, so I’m not sure we would “give up” on the season so early when Lebron is finally out of the east and it’s up for grabs.

Minnesota plays Teague and Rose together a bit. That lineup makes me scratch my head.

The Collison bashing last year was way off the mark in my opinion, but there's no denying he has looked a bit off for the start of this season. Hopefully it's just some rust that will shake off after a few more games.

Honestly, if we’d be willing to pay his 5 year max, he’d stick around. I think he’s going to stay wherever he’s traded as long as it’s a win now attitude team (which we are and would be), and they pay his 5 year max $190m contract.

I don't know what we have to excite MN other than we're in the East. I think they want more than expiring contracts. now if MN holds onto him and he becomes a free agent next summer ...

There’s a chance that Thibs would value more of our win now expirings in Bogs/Collison than what else he’s offered. Either Collison or Teague would have to be routed somewhere like Phoenix for additional value though. Add in a 1st, and it’s probably closer than many would imagine, or at least better than what else is out there.

Butler isn't as expensive as I assumed. Bogie and CoJo is enough to match. it only takes two of our expiring deals and we'd want to include Bogie as Butler would start at 3. Young would also be an option.
