Not that Collison has been great, but Cojo hasn't been much better. He defends better of course, but his offense has been trash to start the season.

The offense has zero flow and zero creativity. Anyone who isn't a PnR stud is having trouble (so, of course Vic and Domas are beasting and Tyreke on occasion). It's up to coaching to come up with ways to empower everyone else in the offense. Where are the plays to free up BogDermott for threes? Where are the safety valve face-up isolations for Myles? Where are the lineups with Oladipo AND Tyreke so there's two creators? Where are the lineups with Domas AND Myles so there's legit gravity everywhere? Why is the offense looking like it's coached like a high school team to purposely NOT do things dogmatically instead of giving players the leash to take shots that may not theoretically be good?

It is irresponsible at this point for Coach to lament ball movement when everyone is on such a short leash, tunnel visioning into perimeter rescreens into a drive on nearly every possession.

why would Holiday jump from 3 to 1? I think it is CoJo that will continue to get more time. He got 31 minutes to DC's 18 last night against Philly so McMillan is showing a willingness to give minutes to the productive player without changing the starting lineup. I think that's sound. there is no need to risk destroying a player's confidence with a demotion.

I get not killing a guys confidence and that Joseph is going to get his minutes. Just saying at some point Collison needs to get better or we might as well accelerate Holiday’s development. It’s not like Collison has this wild upside that we would be missing

1.) need to find way to unleash tyreke when Dipo sits.
2.) develop a unit of DC, Dipo, Tyreke, Sabonis and Turner to close out games

There have been nights when Tyreke has been good when subbing for Vic. On those nights our bench has been a big positive. I hear you that a lineup of that includes Vic, Reke, Sabonis, and Turner needs to be developed. And, that lineup needs the Collison who led the league in three point shooting. Problem is Collison isn’t shooting well and Reke doesn’t seem to know what to do with himself when Vic has the ball.

Maybe copy the blueprint of CP3 and Harden have with Rox. Your PnR heavy offense suits well.

I wanna see more plays start out as being more than just a pick and roll. That way if the action stops, you can always default to a high screen and roll as a solid bailout option. Now it looks more like "well, that didn't work so let's try the same thing again and hope for better results."

I thought that was what the Pacers were going for. Vic can get into the lane much like Harden and finish with similar efficiency then dish to three point shooters. Seemed like from the get go Paul and Harden clicked when on the floor together. Tyreke and Vic haven't figured it out yet. Hopefully that will improve. For now a shooter (Bogdonovich or McDermott) looks like better fit at the 3 when Vic is on the floor.

Agreed. But the issue seems to be that the pick and roll actually is our bailout option a lot of times. How many plays do we see where 6 seconds are wasted bringing it up, then 6-8 seconds wasted rotating through 3 guys on the perimeter for no real reason, then we've barely got any time to move and end up with a pick and roll, a contested three/long two, or a poorly executed and rushed post up.
