Why do you think West left $11 MILLION to go play for the minimum? Bird didnt know how to deal with the modern NBA player which is why he stepped down and the team viewed him a certain way because of his outdated approach. PG shares blame as well but miss me with the "narcisistic douche" label. Theres blame for BOTH sides
Pacernation wrote:What an idiot. Of course it's always somebody elses fault. The Pacers FO forced you to sign that maxcontract or they forced you to leak info to the media to tank your trade value. Yeah sure, it has nothing to do with turning on the ppl that supported you like crazy through your injury. Spoiled athlete with an IQ of 80 burying everything about his former team and fans but expects to be the good guy. Hope he gets booed out of the building when he does his retiringtour (which i fully expect this narcisistic douche to go on). You gotta love the modern day athlete.

You guys need to post more!

I agree I think PG is a very good player but not very smart he should have told the team privately right off the bat as far back as 2015-16 if he wanted to get out.

Bird wanted to make the team better but, he totally blew some draft picks that would have put them in a great spot, taking Plumlee over Dre Green, and not knowing about or taking Gobert instead of Solomon Hill. The Evan Turner trade, trading George Hill for Teague all bad moves. And I like Teague but...

I didn't. He led us nowhere in the five years as the #1 option.

You aren’t affiliated with the team. He was writing about the players, as everyone in that locker room has been open that the Granger deal killed that team as we lost two guys that were loved in the locker room in Granger and Orlando Johnson to take in Turner, who never fit in. Love it or hate it (and I loved it at the time since Granger was out the rest of the year, essentially), but it ended up killing chemistry.

In hindsight just waiving Danny would have been better. Turner, beyond chemistry issues, was a negative on the court. Best piece in that deal was either the 2nd we sent out or Lavoy Allen.

Lavoy was very usable and became very liked in the locker room, but it just took another season.

Larry Bird was wrong when he dismissed Paul George as JAG. In hindsight I'm glad he did it though. How often can you roll around in **** and come out smelling like roses? KP and the Pacers are lucky to have Dipo and Sabonis, and by extension Brogdon was drawn here by the prospect of playing with Victor.

Honestly PG deserves to be cheered in Indy for giving KP a heads up. Aaron Mintz on the other hand deserves the boos and whatever else comes with it.
