Philly is on a big skid. We need this game to claim 5th in the East.

Hopefully the General and the Colonel can play tonight. 5th seed will be ours tonight with or without them though :)

Visited the Sixers page. Very long game thread almost 100% whining about Harris and other roster issues.

What sort of roster complaints did they have? When that team is healthy, including Embiid, it is a darned good team.

lots of messages saying they overpaid for Harris and Horford.

They did, but they didn't have much choice. Letting Harris walk wouldn't have given them as much cap space as they would've needed to acquire a helpful guy at the 3/4. Horford will fit in there eventually, but it's just taking a bit longer than they hoped. Ideally, they'd have found a better option at the combo 4/5 off the bench with some of the cap space, but they went all-in on Horford.

perhaps, but he is 34 and not every player declines gradually from his peak. still I bet he has a playoff gear that he can still shift into.

Agreed. It's more worrisome, and the length of contract is probably the worst part. But, I just see him like I saw David West. Even if the season is a bit slow for him, I just always assume he'll be trouble in the playoffs.
