Wannamaker is really just a body tonight. He’s absolutely hurting the offense. If you’re watching, notice how he’ll pass it to Sabonis at the top of he key, and he’ll stop moving, when Sabonis is expecting him to keep running past him for a kind of handoff/drive option. It’s killing spacing and flow, for sure.

Absolutely he’s too slow bringing it up and not getting the offense moving correctly. Looks like he needs to lose a few pounds.

McConnell needs to focus on facilitating the offense in the second half getting shots for others. 1-7 not good. Scoring isn’t his game and not sure why he thinks he needs to take so many shots. He drives the ball ok but then pass hopefully setting up a teammate.
Next worst shooting is Lamb 1-4 and Harris for Brooklyn.

They're just daring TJ to shoot uncontested 3s

Another loss which I expected due to injury and their current (funk, learning process, transition period). Craig stepped up huge tonight showing us his skills we hadn’t seen much of yet partly due to minutes allocation. Brooklyn has been playing so so keeping the Pacers in it. McConnell tried too hard to fill a roll he’s not suited for.
Well Toronto at home fresh off a win tonight at home vs Orlando. I’m sorry but I have no faith that the Pacer brain trust has figured out that they can’t drive the ball to the lane and let the Raptors steal it. Got to drive and kick out to the open man before they can collapse on the ball.

Lack of reps with the team.

Maybe? That would certainly explain it. But I noticed it happening when running Spain, which every team in the league runs over and over, and he doesn’t know what the standard play is? And even after being coached and corrected on it by Sabonis twice, he didn’t learn it for times 3, 4, and more? Seems like he might not be worth keeping around if he’s either lazy, Not knowledgeable, or obstinate.

I guess there's a reason why he's like a min contract player

I paid a bit more attention to him after Scoot brought it up. He does seem to be a bit uninvolved after making the initial pass
