Twitter has Brogdon not playing in a back to back game.

Yup. Load management. With nothing major to play for the rest of the way, they’ll likely be overly cautious in not having him play back to backs.

Pacers look bad tonight. And i can see why Suns let go of Jalen Smith. Guy has major anger management issues. That was just dumb by him. Half the team was trying to cool him down. And when he was bounced, Hield's reaction was like hands in the air and roll eye.

You got that out of that ONE instance? Let's see, Haliburton got a Tech tonight too. Should we get rid of him? Come on now.

Smith passed my draft test - guys who played well against IU. I hope no one else wants him.

While I don’t like seeing a loss to a bottom feeder it’s probably how Boston fans felt yesterday. Although Celtics didn’t play as bad as the Pacers played well.

Tonight’s loss was Pacers looking tired and just out of sorts offensively. Defensively still same issues.

Tonight’s clunker offsets last night’s win in the draft pick quest.

OKC trying to beat Sacramento in a matchup of lottery teams.

The likelihood of us keeping Smith is so remote. I’m just not invested in his play at all.
On the positive the distribution of minutes indicates Carlisle is looking at a lot of different guys.
Smith getting more run than Goga. Has Goga’s stock gone that far south?

Don’t know. Smith is hitting 3’s for sure. He’s getting some rebounds. He’s just not doing much more than that? He drifts by a lot of possessions, lacks positioning in others, and isn’t defending particularly well, it appears. But he’s hitting 3’s and grabbing loose rebounds, which is something.

As for Goga? I don’t know. I’ve heard rumblings that Carlisle isn’t a fan of him, but I don’t know if that’s gathered from the team or just kind of an assumption based on playing time. Carlisle’s been all over the board in playing time for a ton of guys.

But, I would also like to point out on a different topic, what was Sykes doing out there defensively? He was certainly running his own defensive patterns and forcing guys to try and cover for him. I’m not sure if it’s just that he’s too small and can’t get through screens so he’s altering the defense on the fly and no one else is following him, or if he’s just free wheeling, but he definitely killed a ton of defensive positions late with his inability to follow his guy through a screen, or to recover afterwards.

Interesting game. On one hand, we out-shot them percentage wise. I mean we were just shy of 42% from 3 pt range! That's darned good. The problem is we got about 20 fewer shots than they did. Turnovers was the cause of that (we had 21, they had 10), as we were even with them on the boards. Looked to me we had a bunch of tired guys late in the game.

I agree Sykes gave us pretty much nothing we needed, but without having Stephenson, Brogdon or McConnell available he was a necessary evil. I'm thinking we are close to the end of Sykes and Washington as Pacers.

based on his play when he was in last night, I'd say yes. if you believe in +/- the game was even with Jackson in the game but everyone else but Washington was a minus and I assume Washington was plus because he played in garbage time.

Something I noticed last night is there were times where he set a pick for the ball handler, then the guard did his part to set up the pick and roll, but Goga just stayed towards the top of the free throw lane, which of course screwed the whole play. It was like he had no idea what to do. Other times he did his part properly, but it was really aggravating when he botched it. Sort of like he thought it was going to be a pick and pop.

I agree. he plays too slow and I don't mean he lacks foot speed. he takes too long to figure out what to do. I'm guessing that growing up he was just so much bigger than the rest of the kids that he didn't have to see the game.

Maybe he's played so little that he still hasn't caught up with the speed of the game?
