Watching the shot selection for Anderson, Smith, Brissett, and Washington combined 4-15 hurts us. No doubt they belong somewhere in the NBA but need to improve their offensive decisions to improve our chances of winning.

On the positive side Haliburton is showing us what we want to see next season going 4-4 from 3 and 7-8 tonight :D

Will we ever hold a team under 60 a half the rest of the year?

Philly x 2
Brooklyn
Detroit
I’m guessing no unless it’s the Pistons.

In tonight’s game you saw the importance of Lance as he ran the point after Haliburton fouled out. Only person who would have been chosen over him would be the injured McConnell. Thus my contention that Lance is a must keep end of the bench vet next year. Fan favorite for ticket sales plus hopefully cheap contract. If he wants too much then I would be ok if they move on.

Another observation the Celtics went 8 deep. Six solid healthy vets(which Pacers don’t have)plus a 2 year and 3 year player.

One reason Pacers can’t overcome this kind of talent is their lack of veteran talent this season.

Also next season will be a mostly young team with 2-3 new rookies and very few returning veterans.

Moves have to be made to have six deep veteran starter talent to compete with the top league teams.

Also don’t know where to post this but

Detroit and Sacramento doing what we hoped Pacers wouldn’t and that’s winning too many games in their tank.

Pacers lose as expected
Sac beats Houston tonight-helps us
OKC master tankers lose to Detroit
Portland loses to SA

Lottery standings
Houston tied
Orlando tied for #1-2
Detroit .282 soon they fall to 4 from 1st
OKC .285
Indiana 5th locked up I believe
Portland —-6th 2.5 behind
Sacramento -falling to 7th now

As for Cavaliers injuries have knocked them from top 6 and quite frankly they’ll be lucky to win in play ins because Charlotte (getting Hayward back) and Atlanta playing well will be hard to beat. Brooklyn is the other team in play in for now.

Draft pick looks doubtful

Turner, Brogdon, Warren, McConnell, Stephenson, Hield. That's six.

   Yes that’s six vets but not a strong six veterans which would start together.

McConnell and Stephenson at best are second unit vets that would not apply to my concern for six vets interchangeable we would start together. We’ve seen that McConnell is not built to be a starter on this NBA team.
