I’m just not a huge fan of investing a lot of additional assets, tools, Or value in the center position again. I’d really be ok with Myles, Jackson, and Goga in some form, and focus on building some nba caliber wing depth at the 3/4.

me too and Murray seems to be the only 3-4 worth the 6. if Keegan is off the board, I see his twin brother Kris as a sleeper pick in the second round if he stays in the draft. I suppose if Jackson is truly a 4/5, and push comes to shove, we could give up on Goga and draft Duren. I like Sochan and Jovic but many picks lower. Eason would also be a reach at 6. Maybe Griffin is worth a look. OTOH, there are 3-4s projected at 31.

I would consider a solid 2 as helping in his regard, as I think Duarte could play the 3 reliably, which would help solidify that a bit.

I thought he already withdrew?

Really don’t like the Duren thing as, again, it would be investing a ton of, or rather key, additional assets in the 5 spot all over again. I’m absolutely not comfortable with that. I would say that, unless we have deals for Turner and Goga in place with no centers returning, we should not at all consider a Duren or Williams.
I think by draft day, Sochan and Eason will be viewed as picks in the 6-12 range pretty easily. They both measured perfectly at the combine, and I think heir agents will manage them well that the limited supply of 3/4’s will elevate them, much like QB’s generally trend higher in the nfl draft because of scarcity and positional value.
To me, 31 is any position, with just best player likely to make an impact in the nba.

I thought so too and then I saw some mention of him last week. Perhaps he's made the decision but not turned in the paperwork to take advantage of having options.
I agree on Duren unless they have made the decision to move Turner which would disappoint me.
On 31, I'm fine with bpa but there are always multiple players in a tier and 31 is high for a two way. I'd hope to avoid 31 duplicating the skills of the 6. the workouts in Indy should give us possibilities.

If it has to happen, I’d understand, but also be a bit disappointed. I’d also want to see Goga moved along with Turner if we were to invest our highest lotto pick in 30 years for a center. Even then, I’d still prefer a player at a more valued position to build around.

31 definitely won’t be a 2 way. The player and agent won’t consider that.
As for positions between 6 and 31, I could live with duplication if it helps at the 3/4 spot. We need bodies there, and especially starting caliber bodies. Or multiple 2/3 guys. But not multiple 1’s, multiple 2’s, or multiple 5’s.

I’m not in favor of moving Turner for Ayton because of investing heavily in the center position. I’d really rather get the 3 and 4 situations resolved and in the future invest more there with a star player. I look at other functional centers in the league and not all are max contract guys.

Hopefully draft Murray and trade Brogdon for a vet wing forward.

I'd rather trade for a pick than a vet. Patience.

Re: So, what do we do with the 6th pick?
Here is a good video on Sharpe that gets past the small sample size argument. I'm getting comfortable with taking him at 6 but I still hope he comes to Indy and spends several hours watching film with Carlisle. The physical talent is there but its easy to coast when playing against lesser talent. I can get past that IF he shows he can make the reads.
