Ironically he went at 23 the pick we traded to Pels

I think I misread the deal. We didn't move up. We acquired a second second. We have 38 and 54.

How is it that 30 teams with 5 min each is 150 minutes right? isn't that 2 hours and 30 min? It's been 4 hours.

I'll be keeping an eye on Asa Newell,... if he drops low enough for his contract to be a little over a vet min,... I'd love to get him,... Then there is Yanic Konan Niederhauser, and of course Ryan Nembhard,...

but of course,... this is all fantasy as that would mess with the books,... and resigning Myles has got to be the priority,... (and rightly so.) :D

Good luck to all?......

I like Kalkbrenner, Konan, And Ryan Nembhard. All in the second round I have a feeling Brooklyn's going to sell at 36 pick probably could offer them future pics and 3 million dollars or something like that I don't really know how much cash it takes to buy a second round pick especially a high one.

I’d be thrilled with the Ryan Nembhard. Great passer and decent defender even if a little undersized. We unfortunately now have an open spot for another point guard.

There are a few good potential draftees dropping into the early second,... I'd be happy with Fleming, Raynaud, or Kalkbrenner, wouldn't be disappointed with Proctor or Thiero?.....

It's interesting to speculate whether tax concerns make it likely that both second round picks will make the roster - although a two-way could be elevated. the CBA allows a lower minimum deal for second round picks.

I'm also interested in the backup center competition with what we pick tonight and Jackson, Wiseman, Bryant, and Bradley.

Historically, the 38th pick has only ever taken a main roster deal, and the 54th pick has only ever taken a two way deal. I would imagine that continues? With one of the current two ways getting a cheap promotion?

Ryan Kulkbrenner or Cam Jones at pick 38.
Pretty solid shot at rotation minutes waiting for either one.

I hope a center falls to 38. 54 gets a two-way and RayJ gets a regular contract.

Package 38 and 54 to get the guy you view highest?

I doubt 54 moves anyone's needle and I think it is safe to assume that before we bought 38 we talked to the owners of picks 31-37 and no better deal was available.

That's probably a reasonable assumption.
Now I wonder at what point the draft shifts to the player picking his team?

Tony East

Of note - the Spurs cannot receive any more cash in trades during the 2024-25 league year. So the Pacers-Spurs trade can’t become official until July. So the 38th pick tonight is a player headed to the Pacers, but will be announced as a Spurs pick.

That might only move you, value wise, to 37? If that?

I wanted Ryan Kalkbrenner with our 1st that we traded, maybe he'll be there anyway. Tankathon has him going at 34.

They have us taking Tyrese Proctor Duke, 6"5" PG, I'd be really good with that. He's solid.

Lil Nembhard will probably be there at 54?

Have to trust KP. Took the 3rd PG with centers on the board. Doubt they'd double dip with Ryan. I still like Goldin, Williams, and Aussies at 54.
