Green and Stanley aren’t NCAA stars. But they will be able to succeed right away in the NBA. Players with their skill sets don’t come around often, and they usually outperform their draft spot when they do.

Re: 2020 Draft & Free Agency
At 54 you expect a two way but this feels like a we aren't going to be able to resign Justin pick. Scoot had me on Reed who was still on the board but we went wing.

Re: 2020 Draft & Free Agency
Don't know anything about Cassius Stanley, except most mock drafts I've seen had him going a lot earlier, somewhere in the 30s or early 40s, so I guess I should be happy we got him at 54?

Stanley is arguably the draft's most explosive leaper with a 44-inch vertical that makes him a nightmare for defenses in transition. In addition to his bounce, his positional size at 6-6 and sound standstill shooting (36% from 3) gives him the ingredients to carve out a role as a 3-and-D style wing in the future. A 21-year-old freshman, Stanley can still stand to improve as a ball-handler, decision-maker and off-ball defender. - Schmitz
Not bad for such a late pick. Ft.Wayne should be thrilled.
46.5 inch vertical

Silver lining is that at least our FO is aware of it (now).
Good pick I think, hopefully a smarter Gerald Green.

SI.com's grade of the pick:
Indiana Pacers: B-
Duke product Cassius Stanley is one of the most electric transition scorers in the draft, and he does have a passable jump shot. Stanley brings some overlap with Victor Oladipo’s skill set, though considering his likely role, that won’t be a problem in 2020-21. Let’s see if Stanley can stick in the rotation before assessing his fit in Indiana.

At No. 54, Stanley certainly isn't a reach by any means. Gut says it's a gamble that pays off.

At 54, if they become anything in the NBA it is a win.

I think it’s more likely that he’s the 15th roster spot, saving a little cash under the tax and possibly pushing Alize off the roster. Maybe not deservedly so, and maybe mostly a financial decision kore than a roster one, but gut instinct, that’s where we’re headed.

Looks like it
A little unfortunate for Alize though. Playing under old Nate, he never really got the chance to develop as a player. I was hoping he could get another chance under new Nate

Re: 2020 Draft & Free Agency
we signed Hammonds to an Exhibit 10. I assume this means that unless he wows in the limited preseason, we have a priority position to sign him to the Ants.
