We can absorb him into Dipo TE. I'd slide to the 20 to do this and let Doug walk.

I wouldn’t do this ahead of the draft. But if the draft board falls in a way that doesn’t leave a chance at a guy like Moody, then I’d consider this. But I don’t think I’d trade Moody for Reddish and, say, JT Thor.

Cooper? McBride? Jones? Jackson? Duarte? Garuba? Thor? One of these should be at 20.

Do you think Nate would like Aaron?

I don’t know. But I’d definitely still stay on the clock and see what falls to 13 before considering this deal. It’s not a good enough deal to me to make now.

No harm in that.

I want to believe Cam Reddish is ready to break out. He has size and wingspan for a guard/small forward with defense as his best skill. I would hope his rebounding gets better and shooting percentage goes up especially 3 pt.
Atlanta needs to give us a really good player at #20 along with Cam Reddish as I don’t think he’s #13 quality although he was drafted 10th. I’d like this deal a lot better than moving back and trading #13 for the 2 Knicks or Rockets later first round picks. Not sure OKC’s wants to move to #13 for their 2 picks.

I actually like Murray starting pg here. I believe he is the type of point of attack defender we need. He would allow Brogdon and Levert to play on the wings more. Now I am not saying Murray is perfect and I am open to other ideas but getting our guys matched up better defensively would help our defense tremendously. If we can't stop opposing point guards our defense will never be good.

Maybe, but it’s a tough fit. Does he solve that problem from the bench? Do you bench Brogdon? Bench Levert? If you do, you should be ready to trade them ASAP, as they’ll probably want out. I’m also not sure you could play them both out of position up one, or try and play Brogdon at the 3 long-term so you can keep Levert at the 2. And I guess it means dealing Turner, which means starting either the 13 pick or Brissett?

It’s possible, but maybe more as a major roster upheaval piece? But then, I guess it depends on what happens with the rest of the roster if his offensive shortcomings can be masked?

Assuming you don't have bigger plans with your roster, any interest in:

Lamb ($10.5), #13($3.7)
for
Obi Toppin ($5.1)?

You get a bit more breathing room financially to re-sign a FA or two, and ofc get a look at Obi.

You'll need to include one or two of your picks. You could also make it Aaron Holiday instead of Lamb since you need guards.

Absolutely not. You’d have to include the 19 or 21 as a trade down. Toppin, while not nearly as bad as he played this year, isn’t worth a lotto pick straight up right now. And Lamb is still useful for us.

Plus, the need for a Toppin diminished for us with the signing, and emergence, of Oshae Brissett.

Kuzma and the Lakers’ 22nd pick was also discussed with the Pacers. The talks centered around acquiring the 13th overall pick from Indiana and needed salary filler but was turned down, HoopsHype has learned.

So, Lakers tried to get 13/Lamb (and probably also Aaron Holiday for Kuzma/22. Take out the 13, and I might do that

Clicking that link in the tweet took me straight to it on Spotify. I’ve also pulled it up on and listened to it now on Apple’s Podcast app.

I don't mind a Brogdon for Lonzo S&T though I'd like to be getting a little something else back. I was excited about getting Brogdon and he's been pretty much what you'd like him to be. He hasn't been as efficient here as he was in Milwaukee, but that was playing off of an all-NBA guy in Giannis where here he had to do more himself so it was pretty predictable.

I think there are injury concerns with Brogdon. Lonzo has these too, but being younger helps.

I thought Brogdon would be a vet leader in the locker room and our coaching carousel doesn't speak highly toward his sway there. Lonzo has impressed me with improving his shot and working on his craft. Outside of his Dad being a clown, I've been impressed with Lonzo on his own ever since that post-draft interview when he seemed genuinely excited that the Pacers drafted TJ Leaf because "he wanted to go there."

I think Lonzo is a unique and interesting player so if we got him on a reasonable deal then I think he and Sabonis could be a fun pairing.

The Lakers are trying hard to dump Kuzma as I feel he’s a bit like Jeremy Lamb. No consistency as you never know when he’s going to show up to play. I wouldn’t take him and secondly the Lakers have always overvalued their players making it hard to trade fairly with them. They’re never offering enough. I hope Sacramento doesn’t send Buddy Heild there.

I like seeing rumors or proposed deals saying the Pacers declined. I’m hopeful that if they need to shake up the roster Pritchard gets fair value as in the Paul G - Sabonis/Oladipo trade.
