Chris Boucher 6-9 PF/C FA Toronto

Played with Siakim for multiple years. Has a 7'4 wingspan( I think). Same age as Siakim.
Could he be a vet min option for us?

Might could be a minimum. We do have access to much of the full non taxpayer MLE, though, so we could pay a little more.

He had one huge season in Toronto, but was never enough of a hit at center for Toronto to satisfy them at that position, or next to Siakam. His play encouraged them to go out and trade back for Poeltl. But, for the time of the offseason we’re at, and the cost he’s require, he might be a solid option for a year.

I wish they could bring back IJax, Bradley, and Bryant. But realistically two of them could be the second and third string, but I'm not too confident about starting any of them.

The remaining FA options at center I can see are Precious and Landale. It’s pretty slim. Realistic trade options include Jalen Smith, Goga and Drummond. Maybe Jaylin Williams could be pried out of OkC?

Either way it’s looking a little grim. Maybe they do just run it back with Bradley, Bryant and Jackson and punt the issue to next offseason.

They need a roster spot for Sorber and Williams has a team option which they could decline.

You know I thought about that if he could be gotten for a low enough price $5-6 million 2-3 yrs with some NG.

My son and I saw Huff play in a pre season game at Indy. I was impressed with his size and rugged looking frame. He was rebounding and shooting 3’s that day but the star was the Purdue center tearing the Pacers up that day.

Alright! I was becoming convinced that players would soon be on the waiver wire and jumping the line with a second and a swap is a small price to pay. Have to trust Chad though as I don't know a think about the player.

Griz signed Landale and sent us Huff.

Good to see we got someone. I expect we will cycle through backup centers all season. We played like six different centers last year. At least.

Does this end Bryant’s chances to resign or would they still grab him? I think he was a great addition to the team, even if he played limited minutes in certain playoff series.

Bradley has no guarantees so we can still drop him for Bryant if we want to.

I don't think this is gonna hurt anything and he might turn out to be productive with more playing time.

Scott Agness describes Huff as a stretch big. It sounds like he fits our style.

Doesn’t matter now but I liked the option of Williams. When I pulled my list together I looked at Huff but figured there’d be no way the Grizz would let him go on that contract. He’s the perfect pick up for the next few years.

Great trade for us.

Again, the FO doing their thing of turning a little to a lot. I really want us to roll the dice on Ben Simmons and Bol Bol. What lineups we can put on the floor.
