There is another threat to our tank position. Bradley Beal is shutting it down for this season to have surgery.

Our tank world is getting turned upside down. Of course all the moves aren’t finished around the league, but

Washington gonna keep on sliding down unfortunately as you’re spot on

Hopefully New Orleans and Portland both find success with their player swap keeping both teams more competitive than us

Fingers crossed that Domas and crew pull the Kings upward and away from the tank level

Finally I hate to say it but gotta hope our new guys are great and somehow we play awesome but come up a couple points short most games left.

Is that just wrong :o

Maybe, but for just this season I'd be for it.

Seems to me our chances of extending Myles just increased. Pre Sabonis trade my sights were pretty low for the return in a Turner trade. I'd have higher expectations now.
Thoughts?

Is he thinking Brogdon, Haliburton, and Duarte all start at least with no Warren?

Hmmmm I picked up on the no comment about Duarte when he said Tyrese and Malcolm would fit together well. I wanted to throw up.
Does he plan on this lineup ? IDK
Tyrese
Malcolm
Duarte
Warren
Turner

Our biggest tank buster is Herb Simon.

We just gotta hope we can finish with solid odds in the lottery process and get one of the winning balls to move up to the top 3.

With the way Simon has been "anti-blow-it-up" you have to wonder if the front office kidnapped him and locked him away in a basement somewhere until after the trade deadline.

Notice how Carlisle did not include himself in that statement (the part where he mentions KP and Chad)? I wonder if he felt he had to say it that way because of relationships he has worked to develop with the players? As much as anyone, he knew this was not going anywhere and needed to be changed. Maybe just "staying in his lane" so to speak?

it's hard to criticize a move that makes us better in the long run and possibly worse in the short run, but this has Carlisle not wanting to play a point center written all over it.

To be fair, in that ill-fated media interview he had, he did specifically say that if the team kept losing, then they’d reassess the and you might have to make trades. Well, they kept losing, and they reassessed, and they made the moves necessary.

True. He also has not been a fan of the post-up offense, which is a lot of what Sabonis did.

I'm actually excited to see how this all comes together. Will we all enjoy the outcome? Guess we just have to stay tuned to find out, but I think it will be fun.

Carlisle's teams in Dallas tended to be very good offensively and kinda meh defensively. Vogel/McMillan he is definitely not. So there may also be some worry about what happens to the defense if the team gets rid of its best defensive player.

Or he didn't want to play a point center who on defense creates some problems.
