Less than 12 hours left...

Let's have some fun. Say, by some miracle, grace of God, or some chance we actually catch a break, we get the number 1 pick. What do we do, we've been so focused and making a solid pick at 10 so we can be set up to spend our money when we get it. So caught up in trading our pick for a PG that I don't think we've really thought out a plan for it things actually work out for us. So.....

....what do the Pacers do if we win the lottery? Come 2011, how's our team look?

Pick John Wall and thank the NBA Gods!

PG Wall/Price/Ford
SG Rush/D. Jones
SF Granger/Dunleavy
PF Murphy/Hansbrough/McRoberts
C Hibbert/S. Jones/Foster

That's a potential playoff team in the East. 2011 capspace to add a PF, and probably draft another wing (probably SG) and fill our bench as well.

I believe the Pacers winning the #1 overall pick is one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Listen, I'm not greedy, so I'll settle for a Top 3 pick if push comes to shove :)

Knowing our luck, I'll settle for not going backwards.

I'm hoping we could be in the top 3, but i'm fine with the 10th pick. I don't wanna be overly excited so i'm lowering my expectations a bit.

Not only do I think we're the most deserving team (we actually play to the end of the season), but Wall fits our team better than any other in the league. With Wall this team is totally different IMO.

That's what makes me sad inside, the fact that we play until the end of the season and ruin our chances at getting a big time player to put beside Granger. Wall would be amazing for us because we would FINALLY have someone who can not only create his own shot, but create for others. It would make Granger and Rush look sooooo much better.

When we don't win the lotto, you can thank the late season win streak. Second year in a row. But, people say it will help us out in the long term! So, keep up the faith.

Oh, honestly I was one of the people who were secretly hoping the Pacers would just tank. However, they didn't and that in my opinion should be rewarded. Obviously, the only reason I have this thought process is because I want it for the Pacers, but like I said we are deserving of it.

It only took me three clicks to get the Pacers the #3 pick (Favors) on ESPN's lotto simulator. Earlier this morning it took me around 70 clicks to get the #2 (Turner) though.
Ooh, and I just got #1 (Wall)!
Hopefully it takes fewer tries for the NBA to get the Pacers into the top 3...

Rub those lucky charms today.

Ha what do you know... On my 3rd click the Pacers get the number 1 pick and John Wall on the ESPN draft simulator site from above.

Here's hoping for some fortune.

^^ Amen.

If anyone is just sitting watching ESPN and on their computer waiting for the lottery, Pacers.com is having a Live Chat right now with Conrad Brunner for anyone interested.
