Draft camp measurements

These are always fun, especially for fans of "wingspan."

Dexter Pittman is the king of body fat at just over 20 pct. Good lord, even Kevin Love was only about 12 pct. if I remember right. And Cousins is over 16 pct.

I'm liking the height of Larry Sanders, he's taller than I thought. And at that weight he could be a running, jumping, shot-blocking menace (although he'll probably add weight as he gets a bit older).

What jumps out for the rest of you?

I'm intrigued by Larry Sanders also. I've read that he is intellegent and a hard worker too. Combine that with a freak athlete and you really have something. That combination reminds me of Russell Westbrook. Larry Sanders would be a reach at pick 10 but I probably wouldn't be that upset if we took him there.

Remember, Russell Westbrook was projected to go around #10 in most mocks and was swiped at #4.

Also remember that Jerryd Bayless was projected to go to Seattle with that 4th pick. I was so happy that he fell to us, drove home from the draft party and then got a phone call from a friend saying that we had already traded him. I was pretty ticked off at the time.

Looking at Whiteside's numbers, I can see him vaulting into the top 10.

Can't say I see Bird taking another freshman with work ethic and integrity issues.

What integrity issues does Whiteside have?

Apparently in the NIT game he essentially told his team to shove off and proceeded to purposely tank the game himself. He had to be pulled from the game and his coach benched him for the 2nd game as well, I believe.

I heard something about character and low IQ issues. That must explain why he was hidden away at Marshall, and not playing for a major program. Why is he a 20 year old freshman?

Interesting. If that's true, then I would want no part of him. People don't typically shake issues like those.

Definitely agree. I want no part of Whiteside either, that's why I said top 9. Hopefully some team ahead of us is dumb enough to draft him, allowing a better player to slide down to us.

I'm a huge fan of the "Standing Reach" category. Looking at that, along with the height and wingspan will tell you who has a small head (Cousins).

Tiny Gallon only has 15.1% body fat?
