Would Pacers fans take this deal? Assume that Earl Watson will re-sign in Indy.

DET Trades Ben Gordon and #7 draft pick

IND Trades TJ Ford and Roy Hibbert and #10 pick

Watson - Price
Gordon - Jones - Rush
Granger - Dunleavy
Murphy - Hansbrough - McRoberts
Pick #7 - Foster - Jones

agree esp after gordons last year he will be tough to move and won't be a team that has waited for cap space pickin him up

Ben Gordon isn't what we want in that deal. The pick is what we want. Ben Gordon is just filler.

Okay drop Hibbert from the deal. I didn't realize he was still looked at as a commodity in Indiana.

that only makes sense if the Pacers are in love with a player that they think will be available at 7 and gone at 10. I don't think that's the case as our biggest need is at point and after Wall (and Turner if you think he's a one) there isn't a point that will go that high.

2. To who said Ben Gordon would "just be filler" in that trade. That contract is doo-doo, I would want this year's 1st and next year's 1st to take that contract back.

I might bend and do a Gordon/#7 for Ford/#10. Ford is about worthless to us, and Gordon is at least a good offensive player. We would still need a tall PG to play next to Gordon, especially defensively, but Gordon would allow Granger to play more defense while Gordon adds to the offensive repertoire.
