He said his main fault was not keeping those egos on the same page as the team leader...JOneal, SJax, Ron Ron all wanted to be the man, they weren't mature enough to realize how good they were together and then the Palace Brawl happened and you know the rest.

I knew you guys were good and I forgot SJax was on that team myself, but Reggie was really adamant that you guys would have won that year if not for that incident.

He's right, that was the year after they won 61 games I believe and had added a big piece in Stephen Jackson. All the guys were still playing at a high level and were one of the best teams in the NBA at the time.

yeah, stern royally screwed us. ron was gearing up to take us all the way.
