Arroyo wasn't bad for Miami last season. If not for the FA sweepstakes, it's my belief Riley would have kept him. Don't know if Alston has any left in the tank.

I just started a series on possible free agent point guards. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to them on here or not??

None of those guys do much for me.
The Pacers have a minimal FA budget and are probably just looking for a stop-gap to get them through next season...bring back Earl Watson, that's my vote.

obviously, but why have 5 or 6 threads about the same topic? Sure, it makes it appear there is more traffic than there is, but I don't see the point - still, I will unsticky everything to make you feel better

None of these guys do anything for me either. Watson is a better defender than any of Ridnour, Blake and Felton. He was reasonably competent running the offense last year. I could live with him for another year. In addtion to Watson, I'd like to see us take a flyer on Shaun Livingston. He'd have to come cheap but I can't see anyone throwing a lot of money at him.
I know alot of guys disagree but I still see a trade of any of our expiring contracts for Kirk Hinrich as a better option than a free agent signing.

We don't have that much room to operate in signing a free agent so i'm thinking it would be only through trade/s that we can acquire a starter-quality pg. Though if nothing happens, i'd expect Bird to sign a cheap pg for a one year rental.
