supposedly. supposedly the heat are trying to 'give away' mike beasley for extra cap space, but nobody wants him. um, i'd probably take beasley for nothing if i was just about any team, but especially if i was the pacers. so probably not true. but if it were, we should do whatever it takes to make a play. not sure if something like this is possible...
toronto sign and trade bosh to miami
beasley & jack to indiana (throw in chalmers if he's available - clear that cap room miami!)
expiring contract & trade exception & draft pick to toronto
BEASLEY

Re: BEASLEY
If Toronto wants to sign and trade Bosh to Miami, they defenitely want Beasley back. Why would they want expiring contrcats instead? Just because to get away with Jarrett Jack? It doesn't make sense.

Re: BEASLEY
If Beasley could grow at least 2 more inches, gain about 15-20 more pounds of solid muscle, and play like a PF, i'd love to have him here in Indiana. Right now, as a 3, he would come off the bench as Danny's reliever should George fully develops into an SG. But with a ton of wings on our roster, i don't see Beasley coming to Indy. I'd rather have only Chalmers for a cheap exchange.

I'd only want him in Indy if he can play the 4 the whole season, there's no way he's gonna add up to our wing position, well unless we unclog the position a bit, but that would be unlikely. We're still yet to see whether Hansbrough would be the starter after Troy's contract expires.

Re: BEASLEY
i was just going off of what was reported - that toronto didn't want beasley in the sign and trade. beasley is only slightly undersized for a power forward and he can rebound. he'd definitely play the 4 for us, and he'd actually fit in with o'brain's mad smallball schemes.
