Stoudemire S&T

Post#1 » by Indy2thaWindy » Sat Jul 3, 2010 2:29 pm

Would the Suns consider

Amar'e Stoudemire

for

Jeff Foster
Mike Dunleavy or Troy Murphy
Future 1st Rounder

Pacers get an allstar PF who probably compliments Hibbert better than any other PF in the NBA.

Suns get a backup Center in Foster to backup Lopez, a wing who can score in Dunleavy or a clone of Channing Frye. The big thing Suns get are a future 1st and 2 expirings.\

Amar'e gets more money from the sign ad trade, exactly what he is lookin for.

Great deal for the Pacers and if Amare is gonna leave the Suns it's a good deal for them, Foster, Murphy and Rush would give them something rather than nothing. But this is not likely I'd expect Amare to go to NYC.

Didn't think they could do a deal with Amare now because they renounced him.

It is believe the Suns have renounced his rights, and even they could work out a S&T do you think a player like Amare with his ego and personality would agree to play in Indiana? I think you guys have a good fan base and all, but players like Amare are not no going to Indiana. The Pacers best hope of turning things around is rebuilding through the draft and adding players and pieces that compliment each other, and would not raise a stink about playing in Indiana, which sadly for you guys, many NBA players would be seen as punishment.

I was unaware that Amare had an ego/personality problem?

I don't think a 1st rounder is worth giving up around $18 million in raw cap space, even if only for one year. Foster is still an unknown in how healthy he'll come back, as is Dunleavy. Murphy is redundant with Frye and Hakim Warrick both being ridiculously overpaid there in Phoenix.

Better to let him walk and stay out of the luxury tax than to take on around $16-18 million in contracts and have to pay around $25-30 million for them.

I think in order to sign Amare for a S&T after they renounced him, they would have to be able to afford his contract within the salary cap, which they wouldn't be able to do if he wants a max offer, because they signed Hakim Warrick and Channing Frye.

LOL, he's a Knicks my friend. Maybe the Knicks can get Danny Granger for Eddy Curry too...
