Jameer Nelson?

Would you guys do a trade like this:

Jameer Nelson + Vince Carter
for
T.J. Ford + Danny Granger

George guy has identical game to Granger and after watching summer league he has a beautiful stroke. You get legit PG and a good SG with an expiring contract attached.

Oh wow, that is probably one of the worse trades for Granger I've seen. Nelson is nowhere near Granger's value IMO.

Not many have been worse.

Just because the Pacers look like they have a nice wing in George doesn't mean we are going to give Granger away. No one on this board will value Nelson nearly high enough.

If Felton didn't get signed to Knicks there was a rumbling there was a package that intrigued Pacers and I don't know what but it only involved Granger but Nelson and Pietrus were part of the deal.

So where did you hear these "rumblings" you speak of? I'm sorry but it makes no sense unless we're getting Dwight in return and obviously you guys aren't doing that one.

OK Orlando, let's pull the real trigger:

Orlando gets- Ford (PG), Murphy (PF), Dunleavy (SG/SF) and Foster (C) and ALL $35M expiring

Pacers get- Nelson (PG), Carter (SG), Bass (PF) and Gortat (C). We take on more salary longer.

No way, and Orlando wouldn't do this either. They need a starting PG a lot better than Ford to beat the Heat, Bulls, and Celtics.

Orlando would only look to deal someone like Nelson if they took a gamble at their PG position.

I'm not checking numbers here, but off the top of my head they might do:

Trade #1

Orlando trades: Vince Carter

Washington trades: Gilbert Arenas + something.

Trade #2

Orlando trades: Jameer Nelson + filler

Indiana trades: Troy Murphy + Dahntay Jones

If that was the case, which it was never reported anywhere apparently outside of Orlando (sound fishy to you?) the package was likely Dwight Howard. Really. That's what it would take for Indy to move Granger in a straight up deal to Orlando. Nothing else there is valuable to us. Nelson isn't. Carter isn't. Rashard isn't. Gortat isn't. You have no valuable youth. You have no can't miss prospects. We have no bad contracts to dump. There's nothing you have other than Dwight.

Halo,

That wasn't a rumbling, it was a wet dream. Wake-up.

I do the Murphy/Jones for Nelson deal in a heartbeat.
