Don't go on the Miami Heat board. I've never seen so much cockiness. Seriously!!! It will just make you want to post a negative comment. So if you have anything to say about it just say it here.

We'd be cocky too if we had those three.

lol. They are keeping it on their own board. Let me know if any "Heat" fan (they are coming out of the woodwork) causes trouble here.

Yeah can you imagine just signing up those three guys, when it looked for a minute like Wade might be going to Chicago?

But how about that Cavs owner!? Holy Moley! He's one bitter dude you'd think Angelina Jolie just left him for a Midget!

Yeah, the bitterness in Cleveland is exponentially worse than any cockiness coming from Miami.

It is what it is.

I feel bad that a poorly functioning franchise, such as the Heat, only have to put SouthBeach into their sales-pitch. Way to go Riley, you really built this one from the ground up, and now the only question left is when will the cherry-picker resume coaching.

To this day I still despise how Shaq left Orlando. Lebron's desertion of the Cavs will be even worse for all of Ohio, not just the north. This guy should be banished from Ohio for life IMO.

In Indy we're lucky to have our legends retire here, and they're not even Hoosiers. ( Thanks Reg, Peyton, Marvin)

Lebron is great, but I have serious doubts about his value-system. He chose himself over his fellow Ohioans, his people, the people that nurtured him. Selfish bastard.

Miami doesn't deserve a thing, and if basketball purists aren't sickened to their stomach, than I don't know what it will take. I will boycott all things Miami Heat this upcoming season, and if they're in the finals, then I won't be watching. I wish every fan, outside of Heat fans, will religously boycott this team. That will fix them when an IRL race has a bigger share than a finals matchup.

My sons favorite player is Wade, so I don't want to change his opinion of him because Wade is decent. But I will cherish every loss they receive.

Bigups to Durant for extending with OKC.

You vented in the right place, your home board. Come to think of it, I don't recall a Pacers' fan who has caused problems elsewhere.

Your time will come when again your franchise gets hated on for its talent, and you will be loving it. Folks who have been fans of basketball for awhile know it's true.

If I'm a 25 year old with millions in front of me and a chance to go win a championship in a warm climate, I'm going to take that opportunity. LeBron gave Cleveland plenty of his career. He was a FREE agent...meaning he could choose where he wanted to go!

Otis Smith said "The great ones do it on their own" and "I thought he was more of a competitor." Otis Smith, quit smoking all that crazy stuff (I know it isn't just for your lazy eye!)

All this garbage about him not being able to win one on his own...WHO CARES!? MJ had Pippen, Rodman, Grant, and whatever 3 point shooter to ice games. DWade won his ring with Shaq and in the three seasons Shaq has been gone Miami hasn't even made it out of the first round. Kobe also had Shaq, but then Kobe got Pau and did it all over again. Boston needed to go trade for KG and Ray Allen before they could relive their "glory days." Kareem, Magic, Worthy...the list can go on and on and on.

This is a case of being mad at the people that have what you want. Dan Gilbert thinks Cleveland will win a championship before LeBron in Miami? LOL, after the way he roasted LBJ, there isn't a player out there that would want to play for him, unless they are a low-tier free agent that gets overpaid.

LeBron made what he felt was the right decision...he chose winning over losing...he chose hot over cold...he chose having fun while playing over extra money...DWade and Bosh over Jamison and Mo WIlliams....are you kidding me? These are no brainers (though, the extra money would be nice!)

Ok, my rant is over.

I've been a basketball fan for a while. We will never be hated like this. We are the Cleveland side of this equation. It's sad because basketball is so important to many in Indiana, but I really see an eventual compression to 8 or MAYBE 16 teams in the NBA. If you honestly think about it, only players FROM Indiana have any reason to want to come here as free agents. We have to pay big to get role players while Miami, LA, Boston, etc. recruit players to come play on the big stage. Can you even think of a big name free agent who has ever signed with Indiana from another team? I can't even think of a good player who has done so.

While I agree that there are too many teams in the NBA, no way has Miami been considered a big market. If it were up to me, I'd get rid of a team in both conferences except the economy is poor and people need their jobs.

It's a matter of being able to lure players in as free agents. The more exciting the city, the easier it is to get the player.

I mean they signed a ton of talent, but that doesn't always mean winning champhionships. Back in the Olympics prior to 08 we just threw all the talent they could, but they all wanted to get there shots or whatever and we lost, one game to Puerto Rico. Terrible. Wade and Lebron are great, clearly.

Hmmm, how can I say this. By themselves they are each 100% and get what they want. But when put together, they just overlap on sooo many areas because while they aren't the same player, they take a lot of shots and I feel like Lebron only adds 20% and not 100% which people assume, because Wade already has that 100%. That probably doesn't make sense at all. It's like having Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace in a way. Both just big hustle guys who play great D (or did, at least) and get boards. But put them on the same team and they aren't going to improve the team that much because one of them would've gotten the rebound already or made the block shot or whatever. It's better to have a Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. They both get boards, but are verrry different. Boozer will score a lot, and Noah can actually be a decent passer for a big man.

But then they still have Bosh, who is very good. I think they need someone like a JJ Redick who would just be open all day and knock down open 3s, that is if Bosh, Wade, and Lebron are getting enough shots and still can be unselfish.

They have a ton of talent and would be a lot of fun to watch. I think with Lebron still being a FA, the Bulls would be a lot better team with Lebron than the Heat. You just don't want superstars that are similar. Look at the Hawks this year. They weren't stars, but they definitely aren't terrible. Crawford, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith... Especially Crawford and JJ, both being good shooters. In the playoffs they all just wanted to pad their own stats and didn't even think about team basketball. It could be different with these 3, maybe they do just want a mega-dynasty. In that case I hope the Bulls get Carmelo, too, and they would fight it out every year. Well really I hope the Pacers get CP3 and then Melo and then the #1 pick next year and we can go up against them. It would be cool to have a trio in te West where they played in the finals a lot, a new Lakers Celtics type thing.

Well I am rambling, but I think the Bulls will be a better team, especially as Rose keeps improving.

I get what you are saying. It is like the old Mavericks teams that had Kidd, Jim Jackson, and Jamal Mashburn on them. They all had different skills, but they all meshed them together. Run TMC was the same way. Those two teams were so fun to watch.

On a related note, stay away from the T-Wolves board. I've never seen such lopsided trade proposals.
I was reading a thread the other day about the reasons the Wolves should NOT make this trade:

Kevin Love, Corey Brewer and Ramon Sessions
for
LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum and Rudy Fernandez.

No one bothered to mention that the Wolves would get 3 of the 4 best players in the deal.

They also have an angry forum mod that locked my thread about the Wolves trying to save cap space since Rubio won't be there next year (2011-12) and after that he'll not be bound by the rookie scale (see Splitter, Tiago).
