Turkoglu deal could affect Pacers????

Turkoglu is about to be sent to Phoenix in a deal for Barbosa and the nonguaranteed contract of Dwayne Jones. Jones would then be turned around with the their Bosh trade exception to Charlotte for Diaw.
That's a huge opening for the Pacers because that could mean Charlotte has the cap space to pull a Mohammad-Ford swap and can take on the added 2 million with little problems whereas before they couldn't without going of the luxury tax.

Why would the Bobs send Chandler and Diaw for Calderon and Banks? Their team makes no sense now, this is huge step backward!

Chandler and Diaw combine for $21.6 million this year. Diaw will make $9 million next year while Chandler expires. Calderon and Banks combine for $13.8 million this year, and $9.78 million next year, while Banks expires.
Essentially, it saves them $8 million this year immediately and gets them an $8 million TPE, while only costing them around $800 grand next season. Sure, it hits them for $10.6 million the following year when Diaw would've been off the books, but if they like Calderon as their starting PG, it works out. It's almost cash neutral for them.
