Signs that he signed a 3yr/12M contract with the Nets are said to be premature. It's a standing offer, but he's waiting to see if he can get a better one. From the Pacers????

I feel that if we wanted him, we would have already made an offer.

he's not getting better than 4M/yr from us. not to mention, any deal he gets from us would likely only be for a year. if he's waiting on us he's silly.

Bird said they are offering 3.5m/1 yr this year in order to keep their cap space for next season.

Doubt he takes that. But with a 3 yr deal he may be stuck on the bench again. With a 1 year deal and a great chance of starting he may be slightly interested

It was under his player profile at Rotoworld this morning.
But obviously he has since signed the contract.
Like Mike Wells said we may regret letting this one get away from us.

Seriously, is he really worth that much???
3yr/12M is already pretty big for a back-up like him IMO. I see him as a 3yr/9M guy at maximum even if he's got championship rings on all his fingers. 9M @ max and nothing more.

all these guys are going to want longer contracts because of likely lockout coming... makes hit harder for us to fine a guy for just one season. I also agree, despite what people from LA may think, that Farmar was definitely not worth that kind of money.
