For some reason they just signed another point guard in Ridnour which gives them at least three decent point guards (not counting Rubio). Flynn or Sessions would seem to be expendable now. Bobcats are already looking at Sessions according to wiretap so what are we waiting on?

One guy who I'm suprised the Pacers have not paid a single look at is CJ Watson.

If there is anyone the Pacers can sign to a contract for a year easily, I would think it's Watson.

If Watson's the guy I can live with that. He knows the system and the players. The pecking order would be well defined. There's a good bit to be said for all that. Pretty good chance TJ could clearly see himself as the 3rd pg (Watson, Stephenson, Ford). It would make his buyout cheaper.

I see Houston is looking for a 3rd pg, you'd think a guy might might look at Indiana and say "there is a chance for me to start." But it seems we are not a player in this maybe we are too close on the luxury tax to offer enough to get these guys. Look at the deal the Cavs offered Lowry!

I'm for Earl Watson and Will Bynum and then trying to dump TJ on someone there has to be some team with a 2 yr deal in the $6.5 million range per who wants out of the guys deal.

TJ is better than Watson. Its O'brien, not Ford.

I gotta think either Sessions or Flynn is gonna get traded I'd like to get either of them, I saw they were looking to flip Koufus who they got in the Al Jefferson deal. So Foster for Sessions and Koufus or Hollins would work but then we have too many guys so we'd neen to move 2 of TJ, Rush, Dunleavy, D. Jones or S. Jones.

Then why has he worn out his welcome with every team he has been apart of?

Milwaukee got rid of him because he can't be a distributor.

Toronto got rid of him when they went weith Calderon because he can't be a distributor.

and now he got beat out of Indiana by a journeyman PG but the first quarter of last season and why is that....gee I wonder...ability to distribute the ball perhaps

I think TJ got out played in Milwaukee and Toronto. As for here he was out played by Earl and AJ. But it does seem he doesn't fit the system.

Honestly a one year 3.5 million dollar deal for a guy who would be at best #3 PG on GSW depth chart with few chances on being a backup or coming to Indiana where he can complete along with Stephenson and Price for playing time and even a chance to be a starter.

Two less available PG's fot the Pacers - Ridnour and Livingston.
So maybe we can just forget about the free agency?
So Bird must be looking for a trade to unload some expirings for a starting PG. I wonder who we can get for our expirings, seems to me that Sessions is the only GOOD option left, in terms of long-term plans and talent, not to mention the "would-be" trade with Minnesota is absolutely feasible for both parties. Hope it's not too late to make the deal with Minny.

Sessions would be sweet, I just don't think you guys have the contracts to entice the Wolves. Your ending deals are just too big. Would probably have to be a three way with you taking on another decent salary player.

If the Pacers sign Stephenson and Rolle, then the roster will be full. So, right now I think free agent point guards aren't that important to us. I think Bird and Morway are looking after some other starting point guards.

The real question may be who are they targeting? And what will the Pacers cost?

Milwaukee traded him for a big man (Charlie Villanueva), because that was when Mo Williams burst onto the scene. Ford was traded AFTER the season and had started 70 games for the Bucks. Oh, by the way, he lead Milwaukee to the playoffs as their starting PG!

Toronto was planning on Ford being their starter and then he got hurt. You can't distribute from the bench! When Ford went down with his injury, that is when Calderon burst onto the scene. They paid them both big money and Ford was then sent to Indiana in the draft day trade that brought us Hibbert. Oh...two more playoff appearances with the Raptors!

I think his career average of 6+ assists per game more than shows he can distribute the ball.

Being in a situation where an All-Star makes you expendable and then your next team sees a bright, young PG behind you and can acquire an All-Star big man, it is more about grabbing assets than being able to distribute the ball.

It's JOB, not Ford.

You have to remember, GSW didn't match Morrow's contract with the Nets, so that gives them to the money to match for Watson. He would now be the backup PG to Curry. Ellis is the 2man there and Reggie Williams is right behind him now.

It's Ford.
