As a Toronto fan I was hoping my team would have been able to land him, I really thought he could be something special. Based on interviews summer league, and the general impression you get from this kid, how good do you think he will become and how good could he possibly become?

solid defender, nice range, sweet stroke, great freethrwo shooter...poor ballhandler.

Just my first impression

superb elevation. long arms. seemed to grow more confident as the week in Orlando progressed.

his handles reminded me of Granger's earlier bad habits.. holding the ball too low, dribbling into traffic, and just basically not being aware of his surroundings. As he matures and the game slows down, his ability to handle the ball will improve. He didn't seem clumsy or indecisive, he just made some poor decisions and got careless w/ the ball.

Otherwise, I totally see the T-Mac comparisons, they share a lot of similarities.

Of course he has such a long way to go to get to that level, but the potential to get there is clearly evident.

Agreed with boneman. When I saw him in Summer League, he didnt seem to really have the awareness of when and where the double teams would come and thats when he lost the ball when I was watching.

He has a good shooting stroke so I think with time his shot will improve, hell John Wall shot worse than George did in the SL. His athleticism is amazing, his hops remind me of when Fred Jones was with the Pacers. He will definitely benefit from playing with Danny and Roy. He definitely has the potential to be better the Granger because of his shooting stroke and athleticism but for now if he can just grow into a role beside Granger, I'd be more than satisfied with that. George and Danny would be the 2nd coming of the Reggie and Jalen duo that the Pacers had in the late 90's/early 2000's.

all of that said, we'll have to wait and see, but im excited for him, as well as Lance, but thats another story.

I guarantee that's exactly what Bird was thinking when he drafted George.

T-Mac comparisons are actually pretty decent. He will never get to what T-Mac once was. But yes I think that he can dominate a game if he needs too. Not this year, but by year three probably.

When you say "holding the ball too low" I'm curious as to what you mean there. I've never heard that before with a perimeter player. Care to elaborate on that for me?

When you're 6'9" you should keep the ball up high so all these quick athletic guards cannot swipe it away from you. This is vitally important in the post where double and triple teams converge. The higher the ball the more likely a foul will be called. If you're not dribbling the ball, almost everybody knows to keep it high.

If Paul George wants to be more than a 6'9" sg, than he needs to develop the ability to penetrate and post. And if holding the ball a little higher eliminates pesky 1or 2-guards from swiping at the ball, than so be it.

I see what you are saying. I understand post players keeping the ball high, but how many times do our wings go into the post?

If he wants to be more than a 6'9 SG, he can't stand out on the perimeter with the ball over his head. That actually allows defenders to take away even more space. That is what the triple threat position is for. It allows you to be ready to penetrate and it keeps defenders from getting to the ball as easy.

Now, I didn't get to see much of the Orlando games for the Summer League, so I can't really reference what you are, so if he was being carless and holding the ball out there for the defender, then yes, I would agree with you, keeping it higher will help him keep it more secure, or at least give him that thought to be more secure.

Granger, when playing the 3, goes into the post quite a bit with Troy Murphy popping out.

I know what the post is.

He sets up 2 feet away from the basket. He gets that shot at least twice a game. I'm just saying that it's not unheard of for our wings to go into the post.
