I still dont like it, we gain nothing by doing this, Mikes salery comes off at the end of the year and if healthy he is better than any of the guards we'd pick up

I do this easily. It's best if Rasheed is retiring, but either way I'd love to get Bradley. It's a roster crunch and we have to cut some people, but it's worth it.

I'm pretty sure it's likely that Rasheed's contract would still stand on the books, even if we didn't have to pay him cash. Tough to have the guy take up something like $12 million on our cap space for 2 years to do nothing.

Although, Avery Bradley is interesting. I'm just not sure he's enough to consider the cap hit.

As long as Rasheed is about to retire, ya I will do it in no time.

But I doubt the C's will accept the trade.

If he retires and he comes off the books this is a good deal but if he still impacts the cap and we have to pay him then we need more out the back end on this taking Wallace and Bradley for Dunleavy if we still have to pay Wallace and show him on our cap/Tax books then we'd need more.

Yeah, I tried getting a definite answer in a few different threads, but no one seemed confident wither their answers. I'm pretty sure it would open up immediate space for free agents, but would still have to be paid by the owners of whoever team he retires on.

Too much money to the Celts I don't think it works on the Checker. All comes down to how the contract is treated if he retires, do we have to pay him and does he count on the cap/tax?

If Rasheed found out he was going to Indy there is no chance he'd retire. He'd take our money and play horribly just because he can.

What do we need from Boston, another 4 mill.
