Pacers acquire Collison in four team trade!

Just saw this on ESPN.com. Sources say there is a trade between Pacers, Nets, Rockets, and Hornets. Pacers send out Murphy and get Collison and Posey.
In the proposed deal, the Houston Rocketswill send Trevor Ariza to the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets will send Darren Collison and James Posey to the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers will send Troy Murphy to the New Jersey Nets. And the Nets will send Courtney Lee to the Rockets.

wow, that would be a big time move for the Pacers to get us into the right direction.

Hope this goes through (apparently in advanced stages according to wiretap).
But I wonder if this is the first trade in a series for us? Since we'll take on two players and therefore not be able to sign Magnum, not to mention we get another wing. Maybe this is why we held off signing Magnum since we knew we'd have to take on something extra to get someone like collison.
At least we have something new to talk about if it goes through haha.

I'm back from my hiatus, what a steal of a trade by the Pacers. Murphy didn't factor into the team's long-term plans, and Collison is one of the better young players in the league. Posey is coming here because of his contract, but he's a winning veteran, and I think he could teach Brandon Rush a few things, whose games are kind of similar.

i like this...esp not having to give up any picks!!! Posey well i mean he has a contract but he can shoot the 3 and fits obies system none the less!! SO GLAD TO HAVE TICKETS NOW!

Visitor here (Bulls fan), just wanted to congratulate you if this trade goes through. Collison is a young dart-frog of a point guard who plays hard and smart, and he's absolutely your best-case scenario for Murphy's expiring. (EDIT: But he's NOT 'one of the league's best young players'--watch some of his games before getting carried away)
You guys win this deal hands down, though it's hard to see how it's the best NO could do with their only prized trade asset.

I will gladly eat my words that NO wasn't going to trade Collison!

2 questions though!
Who will start at PF???
Will there be more trades to come? We will have Posey, Dunelvey, Rush, Stephenson, Jones, Granger and George at the 2 and 3.... Trade Posey? I want to sign Rolle if all possible....

There are some definite questions to be answered. It makes it even more difficult to sign Rolle, who after Murphy's departure and Hans and Foster's uncertainty, probably would see some playing time. Maybe you're looking at a Posey or TJ Ford buy-out, I'm not sure.
