Any updates on Magnum Rolle?

I don't live in Indiana anymore so it's a little harder to keep up with the Pacers. Anyway, I know they haven't signed Rolle yet but invited him to camp after he did so well during the Summer League. And I know there's very little wiggle-room left in terms of salary for the team.

I'd like to sign him to a one-year deal, maybe a two-year deal with an option or something. The team is very thin at the PF position so for a cheap 2nd-round rookie contract, I'd think he's worth a shot. The PF position is going to be a revolving door anyway between Hansbrough, McRoberts and Solo. Might as well throw Rolle in there too...especially if Foster gets hurt again.

Just curious if there was any update on a possible signing? I know Larry Bird said he wanted to keep him if possible and they kept a roster spot open still on purpose.

Ive heard nothing. Been quiet since the Lance stuff. I would imagine he will be in training camp, we just gotta free up a roster spot.

For now, i think it's better quiet then not, because besides Lance, was the Rush news. lol

In all seriousness, i can't comment on any potential deal, but from following Roy Hibbert on twitter, i do know Rolle has been working out with Roy, McRoberts and a few other guys in Indianapolis just before all of them left town to spend Labor day weekend with their families.

Larry will make a way to have a roster spot for Magnum especially now that we need a big man to fill the void caused by Troy's departure and Jeff's injury. Larry and Obie are too high on him and he has shown good potential in the summer league. This could be another long wait though.
