I was hoping he'd stay injured. I hate watching that guy play ball...

So do his opponents. Just ask Stephen Jackson.

Very curious to see if he can fill the four spot in our starting lineup. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'd take the beast over the beauty in this case. I'm psyched for Psycho.

he's still mostly a rook. I hope he's good for 20 minutes plus but I want Jeff to start.

great news, let's hope it doesn't take long for him to get back to his "psycho" form.
I'm optimistic about him playing and hopefully he picks up where he left of last year and improves further.

I'd be happy with 20-25 mins per game to start the season

Very good news. If he plays like I think he can and will, he's the final piece toward making the playoffs. With him as the starter, backed by Foster/MCRoberts/and maybe Rolle, the 4 will be decently manned.

We still need to make a move.

If we can improve ourselves with a move, OK...but I think that all depends more on Obie than the personnel available...if he uses these guys right (getting Hibbert more scoring opportunities for instance, and getting McRoberts some minutes to develop) I think we would be just fine with what we have. Most of all, he needs to get these guys playing good team D, and Psycho-T could be a key in that. I could see Hansborough becoming a rich man's Foster, and that ain't at all bad. If he does, A Hibbert/Hansborough/Granger starting frontcourt could be very nice indeed.

I also believe Collison is going to make a tremendous difference, and George, Stephenson (if he stays straight) and maybe Rolle have the potential to actually contribute too. If Dunleavy comes back at anywhere near what he was two years ago, we could shock the heck out of a lot of people IMO.

Trust me on this. Championship contenders drool over Foster.

Unless he is on the DL. Which is nearly always lately.

Foster is one of my favorites, but I don't really hope for too much from him at this point--anything he contributes this year will be a pleasant surprise to me.

Does it really matter since Tyler is like a young version of Jeff Foster anyway?

Foster can do one thing Hansbrough can't right now...defend C's.

They are both more athletic than people give them credit for.

Foster is quite a bit taller than Tyler. as I reported earlier, Jeff says he's ready to go.

It's also the post defense skillset. Foster can defend guys bigger than him and understands post position better than Tyler right now. They co-wrote the book on boxing out.

Saying that Hansbrough is a younger version of Foster is asinine. Foster has never in his life had the offensive game that Hansbrough has. They're both hard-nosed, gritty players, but that's where the comparison stops really, because as far as pure skill Hansbrough is leaps and bounds ahead of anything Foster ever was. I say that as a fan of Foster too.
