Is Indiana actively looking for that, no... could they make a move if a real power forward hits the market, maybe... I keep hearing the Pacers have interest in Brandon Bass... but based on whats coming out of Orlando and how well Brandon has played I just don;t think the Pacers have anything Orlando wants.

Brandon Bass is probably better than any PF we have right now, but not enough to give anything up for. If Orlando wants to trade straight up Bass for McRoberts then I'd be more than okay with that. Throw in a Jones to cut our roster to size. Anything more than that is a slight improvement if that.

With the way Orlando is playing now I can't see them trading anyone. If they had a wing player go down maybe they would have interest in Rush.

Give McRoberts and Hansbrough a half season and Brandon Bass might be a third stringer here.

I like Brandon, but Dahntay and Solomon is not enought for him. McRobert for Brandon ... Orlando no querrĂ¡n

I think we might be willing to give them both Rush and D Jones at this point. it's legal

I'm sure McRoberts and a Jones isn't nearly enough for Bass. My point is that that's all he's worth to us. If he's worth more to Orlando, he's better off staying there.

I think you guys can do much better than Bass.

NJ is trying to clear salary for a Melo trade where Denver gets under the lux tax. Humphries is better than Bass and is an expiring that won't ruin your 2011 cap. They are probably deperate enough to pay $3 mil cash to get rid of him which basically means you only pay $200K for Humphries.

Humpries ($3.2 mil) + $3 mil cash for cap room using the Murphy TPE.

Humphries is nowhere near as good as Bass. He always seemed like he would be okay, except he never passes the ball. We don't need that.

I wouldn't mind Bass, but I can't see a scenario that would work out. Honestly, I doubt there's a PF trade on the horizon for us.

Bass would be a nice player. He's likely better than any PF we have currently on the roster, yet I don't consider him a long-term answer at the position. As said though, I'm not sure we have anything really Orlando wants unless the Magic are enamored with Brandon Rush (whom the Pacers could stand to wait until his value isn't so low before moving).

Given Hansbrough's relatively solid play this preseason and the significant time he's lost ove the last couple years, I think his learning curve will be pretty steep. It's hard for me to imagine him not being a superior player to Bass maybe this year certainly next year. That would make Bass next year's version of Dantahy Jones.

I would sooner trade Ford and S. Jones for Borris Diaw. Shorter contract, better player.
