So who is inactive?

Okay, now that we're down to 15, who are the active 12? It's a little easier for the first five as we know Rush sits but let's try both ways.
Point: at least two must be active although three is better. Collison and Price play for sure. I suspect TJ plays if healthy and Stevenson sits unless we are playing a team with a big point guard in which case may TJ sits.
Bigs: you'd like 5 who can play the post. not sure we have that option. Hibbert, McRoberts, Foster, S Jones, and Hansbrough are all we have. you probably have to play them all unless you think both Granger and Posey can fill in at 4 and JMc can be a third 5 in which case you can sit Solo.
Wings: you'd like to have 5 with one of them able to be the third point guard. Stevenson is the only option for that. Dunleavy, Granger, George, and Posey play. Rush sits for now. D Jones is on the bubble.
I think I'd try to sit Solo, Dahntay, and Rush letting Stevenson get a glimpse of what game speed is like while Rush is out, but he'd be on a short leash and if it didn't work in game one, I'd have to activate Dahntay.
when Rush returns, Stevenson would sit unless TJ had managed to play himself to the bench that quickly. injuries will occur to get Stevenson PT. it's also possible that Posey isn't an 80 game player at his age which would open up additional options.

Rush and TJ automatically sit.
Stephenson sits as well, I think. I think Obie's going to look at it and decide he needs more big bodies because of foul trouble. I would rather Solo sit, though.

Is it too early too bring back the "Start Lance at point guard today." sig, or should I pull out the "Start Lance at shooting guard today." sig?

Lance isn't going to start at either guard spot but since he is the only guy on the roster who can play both positions that does give him an edge at being the third choice rather than the fourth.

AJ can play the 1 and 2.

You should get a "Jeff Foster Ate A Hamburger" sig.

Based on last season, Obie seems to like TJ for some reason and dislike AJ. I would look for AJ to be inactive before TJ.
Also Obie seems to dislike young players, I think he'll leave Stephenson inactive.
Lastly, he seems to not like D.Jones.
So by no means do I agree with the choices, but I'd say once Rush becomes available, if there are no other injuries, our inactives will be AJ, Lance and Dahntay.

TJ actually wouldn't be terrible in a sparkplug role instead of a consistent minutes guy. I say let him play, but cap him at 15 minutes.
His injury looks like it's going to keep him out of Wednesday's game, though.

TJ usually plays good against the Spurs when coming off the bench. I think he'll be activated.

My picks (once Rush returns)
Solo, Lance, and Dahntay.

the star seems to think Obie will play Posey ahead of Hansbrough at 4. Obie's talking a 9 man rotation which Mike Wells thinks means Collison/Price, Dunleavey/Granger/George, Hibbert/Foster, McRoberts/Posey.

First five games it will be Rush, Stephenson and D. Jones.
After that it probably depends on how things go. I'm inclined to think Foster gets first look for backup center minutes. If the small team with Posey at the 4 clicks there could be a need for a 5th wing. That would be Rush after 5 games. If a 5th wing is deemed necessary before then its D. Jones.
If TJ's not sound then Lance dresses.
My best guess is that Lance and Danthay will spend a lot of time in street clothes this year.

^^^ Which, to me, is too bad. I really think Dahntay can get that defensive mentality he had in Denver back for Indy. If he could tack that onto the career offensive year he had last season, he could be a big plus. I actually prefer him over Rush at this point. Rush is tough to rely on - when he's on, he's fine, but when he's off, he's invisible sometimes. They both could be used as trade bait eventually though. If that's the case, Rush might be better to showcase to tell other teams that he's worth taking on despite some past mistakes.
I just really hate to see DJ sit because I think he could be a nice piece for us.

to me Dahtay is a (slightly) better on-ball defender than Rush
Rush is a better help side defender.
I actually don;t think there is too much difference between them defensively and Rush has a better offensive game so I'd prefer Rush

Dahntay is more aggressive with his offensive game. If only Rush got that aggression and boldness in his offensive game, he'd be a keeper.

I blame O'B a bit here. Rush is much better when he is playing the 3 in Granger's spot. Why? Because the offense is setup to run plays for Danny. I think they need to call plays for Rush to keep his head in the game.

D. Jones, AJ Price, and Lance Stephenson are inactive for tongiht according to Mike Wells.
so does Rush have to be active for his suspension to function I guess? and TJ must be healthy enough to play over AJ...

I guess it depends on the suspension. Post brawl, those guys didn't have to be part of the active roster, but it was kind of an exception.

Honestly we need to see if Solo has what it takes to b/u Hibbert. I'd actually like to see a bit more of him, and less of Foster. Although Foster is the play in his hometown against TD.
I don't see how Tyler gets knocked down to third on the depth chart when he is neck-n-neck with McBob. Guess you have to jack up threes. My guess is McRoberts will get exposed somewhat because he is not a starting PF in this league. If he was than why didn't Obi develop him more last season (playing time). If Posey surpasses Tyler on the depth chart than he might as well surpass McBob too.
Don't get me wrong, Josh will do some good at times, but I guarantee he can't sustain that type of energy banging with players that are bigger and stronger. For all we know the PF minutes could get split up amongst 4-5 players. Approximate split ( Josh 40% - Tyler 30% - Posey 20%- Granger 10%).
Posey will pick up some of Grangers scraps at SF too.

There's your answer.
