Would you rather him improve in practice with NBA caliber players or with NBA rejects???

If the vision is for Lance to develop into a big PG, he will NEED reps at the position with live music. With DC, TJ and Price in front of him he will never see action reading the schemes of opposing coaches, full speed defense, officiating, time & score situations in Idianapolis...

Lance is gonna have to earn his time like anyone else, much like George, etc. on down the line. Where they earn it is in practice.
Think about Josh McRoberts here as well. In his one year stint with Portland as a rookie, he went from potential gem to no business being in the NBA short of one season. It took three years of hard work and determination, a lot of that in the last three months, just to prove he belonged and after those grueling years he is the starter alongside Hibbert, but has yet to prove he can finish as well as start.

TJ will be gone by trade deadline so that will help his chances but you can do great in the NBDL and still suck in the NBA....

Where do you see TJ going? Just curious.

He is in the final year of his contract, he is playing well, who knows who will trade for him but I bet you ask any regular on this board and they will agree

Please don't compare McBob to Lance.

All he's saying is that it will take time for certain guys. Jermaine O'Neal needed 4 seasons before he started doing anything, also.
The fact is Lance is a 2nd rounder with a lot of potential who's not ready to play at a high level consistently. I don't think it'll help for him to be in the D-League, although it may be a possibility if we're making moves and we need another roster spot.

I understand it will take time, but the fact he hasn't played one single minute in the regular season is disappointing.

Lance outplayed George in the summer league and since they are both 20 y.o. it could be argued he has more potential.
It would be nice if either could get some burn, but it won't happen unitl after the wings thin out.
Next season George will enter the rotation, and Lance will be an injury away from the rotation.

Lance could have got "some burn" tonight in Fort Wayne...
The Mad Ants played Iowa tonight, he could have played 40+ minutes at PG against Kyle Weaver; a big PG that played the past few seasons with Oklahoma City.
Yeah, I know it's not the NBA. But for a guy that should be a sophomore at Cincy, it seems like playing 40+ minutes of AAA basketball would be more developmental in terms of becoming a PG than watching the Pacers play for 2+ hours tonight.
Send him to the Summit City.

If Lance ain't gettin time. Send him down for a game or two to see him in game action. They should show his games primetime on ESPN or TNT. I'd mostly do it because I wanna see him play.

As usual. I agree.

Lance is a good one-on-one player, but until he improves defensively, I doubt he sees much time with the Pacers this year. As for the d-league, I don't like it. I assume there's just a lot of one-on-one play there, and it's really the other areas of Lance's game that needs improvement.

We need a one-on-one player to come off the bench and get things going when the offense isn't working.
