Honestly, the only player I'd be remotely interested in seeing the Pacers take a look at is JJ Hickson. He has shown some great things this year, but seems to have fallen out of favor with Byron Scott. He can score without really having to run plays for him and routinely tops 5 rebounds despite rarely going above 20 minutes of play.
Varejao is overpaid (and annoying) and honestly wouldn't see as too much more valuable than Psycho T and/or McBob considering Varejao makes his claim on boards and hustle (which is what Tyler would do if given the minutes.) Antawn Jamison is the ultimate professional and an upgrade at PF, but eats into the 2011 summer flexibility with his contract.
Basically, since Hickson is the only player I'd be interested in, I don't know if it would work considering he's still playing on a cheap rookie contract. I don't know what all we could fairly send back.

they are saying they'll take on bad contracts to acquire young prospects. that's not us. we want to keep our young prospects and all the guys we want to trade have valuable expiring contracts.

I've actually had a lot of interest in Varejao. He's not really that overpaid (though he does have a trade kicker) and is a consistent defense/rebounding big. What I like about him is that he can play both PF and backup Hibbert at the C spot. I'd prefer Tyson Chandler, all things considered, but Varejao would be a very good addition to our team.

I think Varejao would be a nice fit, but our best asset right now are our large expirings (assuming we don't want to trade our young core) and that doesn't appear to be what Cleveland wants.
