The wiretap article about the Pacers' stance on Granger...

How they're "softening their stance" as opposed to considering him untouchable in the past. Yeah, right. I'll believe it when I see more than just one report from ESPN. He probably got that from the same "source" who said LeBron/Bosh to Chicago was a "done deal."

I softened my stance there. Granger has failed to keep me hard this season.

With this coming out, who would we want to trade him for? Carmelo is out of the question of course

What about a Paul Millsap and change for Granger?

Danny's having a little bit of a tuff go right now. I think he will be back and in fact has not yet peaked.
I think however that he may need a new "system" to thrive.
I'd rather replace the"system" than Danny.
And if we would happen to trade DG... I want a young stud PF plus a pick.
And we'd still need a new "system".

As a Mavs fan I wish you guys had one or 2 bad contracts to pair with Granger ha

I just don't get why you would trade him as it is now tho.
You'd still have to offer a similar contract to someone this summer and they'd probably be a lesser player than Granger

got to say that as I walked to my car last night after the game that would have been a win had Danny made two free throws let along hit anything, I was sure thinking about letting him move on.

Wiz that is the same thing I was thinking about as I was leaving the game. Is it time for Danny to move on. I don't know what it really is, maybe the coach, but he has lost something out there. Not playing his game, getting stupid fouls being lazy. His head just seems like it is not in the game. I really think if we had a real coach things would be alot different, someone that they respect.

don't forget it was San Antonio. like all the good teams, they have a gear we don't have yet. they went to their A game and the end of the second quarter and again in the fourth quarter and we couldn't keep up. I'm not sure any coach could have made a difference. we had no answer for Manu on either end but few teams do. still, missed free throws. argh.

Would you do an Evan Turner package for him?

I've met him and like him as a person but saying I want him back is too strong. I wouldn't be dismayed to see him return as many of you would, but I wouldn't be sad to see him go either. put me down as neutral pending future events. I thought it took him too long to get Rush and McRoberts on the floor in prior years but it sure can be argued that they're better players for it. we'll see if Hansbrough builds on last night and eventually I suppose Lance will get a chance to show whether he's ready. I will say that I was ready to see him go after the Boston game when he did nothing to counter Quis at the point but last night's game had me ready to see Granger go rather than Coach.

When JOB was in PHilly, he wore out his welcome very quick. I've never seen a team turn on a coach so quickly. Honestly, its better to be done with him.

To whoever posted about Danny not looking like himself with the lazy play, the fouls, etc. One poster on this board once wrote about how in practice, Danny looked like he tuned JOB out. I honestly, really, truly think that a new coach is the cure, especially for Danny.

He would be a great rebounder and scorer next to Hibbert! The problem might be defense but they're both young, so that could be great.

nope. I was just in post loss depression when I was willing to move Danny. if I had to say which move would more likely help us, it'd be a new coach if only because of the coaches getting tuned out after three or four years affect.

If you did a Millsap for Granger you would have over 4 mil in cap space next yr. Plus a great player at the 4. Maybe the Jazz throw in a pick as well.
