I checked different state incomes for NBA teams and found Indiana is the fourth best state to play for.

The only two states that have no income tax at all: Texas (Mavs, Rockets, and Spurs) and Florida (Orlando and Miami).

Then you got the rest: Illinois (Chicago (3%)), Pennsylvaia (Philly (3.07%)), and then Indiana (3.4%), with Michigan (Detroit (4.35%)) behind us.

So I question highly that we can't land competitive veterans and get some quality players in here come 2011. Less then a handful of teams can offer the money we do and most of those will be commited to signing their own.

We probably can, but not everyone would like to live in Indy.

I believe Illinois just raised their rates. I dont think the 3% is accurate any longer

Correct. Illinois just jumped to a 5% personal income tax from 3%.
