Get Ewing a chance...at least he can make Hibbert even better.

I wodner if the rest of the coaching staff will be gone, and who stays. Ewing could do good work as an assistant at least, like Oakley is doing in Charlotte.

Oh man, Ewing would be great for your team. Plus Dwight doesn't need him anymore in Orlando!

I would think Dan Burke might get the shot. He's been on the bench in Indy for about a decade now, and has worked his way up from video to scouting to assistant coach. I doubt McCarty or Potapenko get the job in their first years here.

Other than that, Jay Defruscio is still a newby to the NBA and came from Wheeling Jesuit (a great school btw, but he was renowned for his "quick offenses" when Obie hired him), and Frank Vogel has been pretty much a video guy/scout for most of his NBA coaching career.

If we don't bring in someone from outside to finish the year, I would think Burke is the only candidate from inside. I doubt Atlanta would let Lester Conner walk mid-season for the interim shot. 'Tis a shame.

Shocked at this one. I'da thought Dan Burke would get the shot as the good soldier he's been with the franchise for a decade.

Interim coaches don't usually get the nod to keep the position, so they might just be letting vogel run it so they can do work in the offseason.

Yahoo article mentions Mike Brown as long term replacement. I like it. Why not bring him in now? He isn't doing anything is he?

Oh absolutely, but you'd think they'd want to reward a guy that's been through a lot with the franchise would get a nominal nod and an "Attaboy" by just getting the interim spot for a few months, and then return him back to the bench.
