just went browsing on http://hoopshype.com/salaries.htm and checked around salaries and must say i think larry and management have done everything perfect. maybe the thunder have better than us contract wise but i think against anyone else we win or are good argument.
DC trade was awesome value and salary wise not a lot of dif between murphs 1 year and poseys 2
think firing OB couldn't have been better timed.
draft picks seem to be near perfect choices looking back.
so keep larry and everyone else the same!!!
lets go on a run and beat MIA first round play-offs!!!
keep larry

Re: keep larry
It's not about us wanting to keep Bird, i don't think there is any question rather Simon wants to keep him because he absolutely loves him and if you see between the lines, it was Simon who fired O'Brien, not Bird, but Bird took it like a man and is covering it up as it was his decision.
Bird has taken us from a trainwreck situation into a great situation, from cap hell to cap freedom, a roster full of long deals to a roster full of young players. Maybe Bird feels he has done his job and it's time to pass the torch to someone else to take it to the next level? Maybe Bird wants to go home and spend time with family, and now he can because he knows he is leaving the Pacers in good hands?
I hope he stays too, but, the decision is all to him. If he does not return, it's not because he wasn't welcome, it was because he didn't want to return.
