I know Tj hasn't played for the past many games, is this because of inury or is this because they think they are better off without him?

The latter.

TJ has played better than Price, but TJ will soon be gone so the team is rightfully developing their future b/u.

I don't think so. Their production has been similar. If anything, Price is a little better from a purely statistical standing.

The difference between Price and him is minimal, and Price actually may factor into the team's long-term plans.

I think we will see him in a different uniform in the next two weeks. may just be wishful thinking, but that's what I'm thinking.

TJ is a much better defender than Price. That's why I'd prefer him to be in the game rather than Price, especially if a playoff run is on the cards. He'll most likely (read: hopefully) be dealt though.

Why would Indiana buy him out just so he can sweep them with the Heat in the first round? Never know though.

Well for the same reason every team buys out players.. to save $, and its not like you guys are winning a championship this year.

There are reports of this running around, but thought i ask here.....

The Pacers are more confident against the Heat than they are the Celtics or Chicago. If they face the Heat first round, I wouldn't be surprised if it went to 6 or 7 games.

Yeah, you guys play us very very well always, so i dont doubt it.... We need a pg, and a C.. so Ford or maybe even better with bibby and Murphy at C will do the trick.. well see..

Reports indicate the Heat don't want Bibby, but that's the reports. They also said the Celtics weren't making any trades...

Most likely, yes.

A lot of the reports here seem to suggest the Blazers actually have the inside track on signing Ford. Miami probably ends up with Bibby.

If TJ had any competitiveness he'd accept less for a buy-out. Based of the market last yr TJ should probably get 3yr/ 9-12 mill. Although, the longer he is in a suit, his value drops even lower.

All that I am saying is that if I had his skills I'd accept 1/2 of what is owed to me ( 3 Mill ???), in an attempt to raise my value. B*^*@-made. You'd essentially be gambling 1 mill to make 5-8 more.

TJ, or his agent, lack the confidence to be competitive. I'm glad the Pacers have him buried, and if he keeps it up, just leave him there. By the time next season rolls around, he might be lucky to get a 1 yr deal.

so if you had a winning lottery ticket good for 6 million dollars, you'd take half of it and bet it on a horse race? oh, the odds on the horse would matter? bet if it were a 10-1 shot, you'd keep your money. 5-1? even money? personally I think I'd just say if I keep all of it I'm set for life and I'm just not going to risk a bit of it.

Wizop, the man has made over 50 million, so a million to him is much different than it would be for 99.9999% of the worlds population.

I am just saying that if he believes in himself, then he should want to go somewhere else to prove his worth. It could be the difference in him getting 1 yr/ 2mill, or up to 4yr / 16-20 mill, depending on his effectiveness.
