#6 Seed?

NY has been slipping and we are surging. We are 2.5 games behind NY right now. Do you guys think the #6 seed is possible? I'm personally hoping to match up with Miami, wherever they end up.

We're gonna have to keep playing like we're playing. If we stay like we are, we'll probably be around .500 or a little above.

If we win the season series against the Knicks(we're down 0-1) and the 76ers(we're up 2-1) then we should be able to pass them pretty easily, as long as we beat the teams we should beat.

We still have 4 games against Detroit. We swept them last season. That should be a goal this season.

This next game against Milwaukee could be the most important game of the season so far. If we beat them we seperate ourselves from them in the playoff race by 4.5 games. If we lose, then we lose the season series and they will only be 2.5 games behind us. It's almost a must win. The next game after that is against the Heat. Who knows maybe we can beat them again too. I expect it to at least be close.

It is possible alright. Our latest games under Bird were possibly our most easiest stretch of games, but we can all see that the fire is back on on this talentful group of players.

To be honest. I'd be more than happy if we ended up 7th or 8th and had a couple of close games and a win against Boston or Miami. We seem to do ok againt the Heat, so that might be a terrific matchup.

The Knicks have been slipping, but the 76ers have also been playing pretty good basketball as of lately.
Last night they beat the Spurs.

The 6th seed would currently give us the Bulls. I think I'd take them over experienced Boston and the big three of Miami, despite how well we've matched up to the Heat this year.

I would say we can, especially if we make a move at the deadline and get a player for the playoff push.

6 is my goal. for all our recent wins, we haven't gained on Philly a bit though. I don't think Miami would like to see us be their first round opponent though so maybe the 7 would be just as good a slot.

I don't think so. We're playing great right now, but we're playing some easy teams. After Miami and Detroit we have a brutal stretch coming up.

Before the season started I thought the highest the Pacers could possibly finish was sixth. But I thought Milwaukee was the team they'd have to take it from.

I think the Knicks are ultimately a sub-.500 team--they had a really soft schedule when they got over .500 and have been falling back to earth ever since. The Pacers have a chance to pass them, I think. But Philadelphia looks pretty good, and Milwaukee could still make a run at it too. There's a bunch of teams that could finish sixth.

It doesn't really matter too much to me whether the Pacers finish sixth, seventh, or eighth. Just don't finish ninth. I want to see this team in the playoffs.
