we would also give them a protected 1st round pick if he would sign a extension if he wouldnt then a 2nd round pick

Collison/Price/Stephenson
Dunleavy/ George/ Rush
Granger/George/Jones
West/Hansbrough/Foster
Hibbert/Foster/Menga

sounds pretty decent to me :)

Sign me up, but
NO has no reason to trade their extremely good PF free agent for our not so hot PG free agent unless they:
1. Are pretty sure that they are not going to be able to sign their guy.
I don't think this is true.
and
2. TJ Ford is just the guy they'd like to target with their assumed to be freed up cash.
I sort of doubt it.

I don't think JMc or the swap of back bench centers will make a difference here.

Hornets would never agree, but I'm all for it!

Of course we could get him for free by signing him outright this offseason. You need to quit throwing around those 1sts, similar picks have produced quite nicely. Our organization is one that builds through the draft. I still resent giving up that pick for Al.

New Orleans is 5th in the West. They are not selling. They'd risk losing him in free agency then upset Chris Paul anymore and sell at the deadline and ruin his playoff run.

I see no chance that New Orleans even returns that phone call. They are more likely to try and add a piece at this point than they are to move one of their better players.

Contract or not, West has more value to their team than anything in our offer.

It would be interesting to see McBob running the floor for a more dynamic offense.

Right now no one is paying attention to McRoberts while his on the floor.. The majority of his points ( outside of a couple buckets ) have came when not a single defender was within 10+ feet of him and that includes when he is underneath the basket.

If he controlled the ball more the eventually teams would come to their senses and shut him down ( if you havent noticed he really struggles when someone guards him ).

As long as DC is on the Pacers he should have the ball in his hands 99% of the time.

yea i know they would be dumb to move him in what stance they are in now BUT there is also i big chance he will leave and this tiny playoff run would be for no reason. Now that i think of it we would actually help them out giving them our expirings to sign him back haha. But west would defiantly help us take down the heat in the playoff if we would make the playoffs.

why are you guys in love with david west?

he's not that good, from what i read on this board you would think the dude was tim duncan. he is an average player that looks a lot better due to playing with chris paul. plus he is 30 years old, what is the point giving him a huge contract? david west isnt going to make the pacers a contender. build this team with young talent.

the only trades the pacers should do are ones to acquire young talent whether its through players or draft picks. i'd rather take john henson in the draft than pay a bunch of money to west.

David Westis lucky to be playing with Chris Paul, but he doesn't need Chris Paul to be good. A lot of Chris Paul's assists go to him. They need each other.

He's good. There's a reason they call him the 17 foot assassin. He rarely misses from there. He would open up the offense a lot. It's not like a stretch four either. Because if he's not open off the pick and Roll, Collison will be.

A starting Lineup of Collison, George, Granger, West, Hibbert is probly a 5th seed next season.

Hansbrough and McRoberts have been good at holding the 4 spot this season, but they are nowhere near the level of players that West is.

^^^ Pretty much what he said, plus West isn't any sort of athleticism guy, so his should be slower to fade as he ages.
