Just saw that he is in his last year with the Rockets and could be on his way out if he doesn't receive an extension.

Checking Hoopshype articles Friday!

I am not opposed to this situation. It might make it easier to pick up free agents. Specifically speaking of Ming and Landry. Ming would be a great for Hibbert and he could take it easier on his body by only having to man the backup as opposed to starter minutes. I like the Josh and Tyler combo, but I don't think Josh can produce off the bench and that Tyler is quite starter material. In either scenario, (bench or starter) Landry would be an improvement to a duo. Would also already have chemistry with Ming for second unit if both were signed.

I still think the most pressing need is at the 2 and the backup 5. Having a hard time finding a free agent 2 (just so there is not trading of anything absolutely needed). Best case would be to find a starting two for the cost of Posey and the first. That would allow for free agent signings in the other roles which Seem to be more readily available.

I do believe were are close to being relevant again. Just shore up a few areas and we can stop the inconsistency.

Adelman is a great coach. He's always been able to get a lot out of his teams. He just gets teams to play hard for him and he is flexible to them. With the Kings they were an offensive juggernaut. With the Rockets they have been a scrappy overachieving team.

Very...very...VERY on board with this. He's an old school guy but guys to play their butts off for them. He knows his stuff (900+ wins don't lie) and gets the best out of his players, not matter who's on the roster.

I mean, look at now, who would've thought that after that horrendous start, no Yao, traded away Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks during the season, they're only 3 games out of the 8th seed in a very crowded West.

Not sure he'd jump at the chance to come here should he be let go, but of the teams likely to be searching for a new coach in a couple months, we arguably have the most talent. (Us, Detroit, and maybe Sacramento.)

Who knows, maybe he'd like a shot at coaching in the East since he's been with Golden State, Portland, Sacramento and Houston throughout his career. With our talent and flexibility, no reason we can't be a middle-tier playoff team next season.

Adleman was signed under the pretenses that he would be coaching Yao, T-Mac, and a championship contender. As you can tell, due in large part to season ending injuries, that has not been the case. And at this point in his career he is not interested in coaching a "rebuilding" team. He is a very good coach, unfortunately fate has not smiled on the roster.... :(

^^^ True. He's 64 and so his career is likely winding down. But if he wants to keep coaching, the Pacers probably have the best starting block of teams that will possibly/likely be looking (Indy, Detroit, Minnesota, Sacramento, and Washington maybe.)

Hibbert/Granger/Collison/George/Hansbrough, to me, is better than Evans/Cousins/Udrih/Thornton in Sac-Town, Gordon/Villanueva/Stuckey/Daye in Detroit, Love/Johnson/Flynn in Minnesota, or Wall/Blatche/Howard in Washington.

It all depends on if he wants to keep coaching and what he's willing to take on at 64 years old. First things first, he and Houston have to part ways (which I'm gathering is about 50-50 right now.)
