Austin Rivers

Post#1 » by Buckleyisgod » Mon Apr 4, 2011 7:07 am

Alright so I am a Bulls fan. But I do enjoy watching this Pacers team grow(plus Reggie Miller is one of my favorites of all time)

If Austin Rivers turns out to be the next Kobe like he is being hyped, this Pacers team would be a perfect team to build around him. You would probably have to give something up to trade for that 1st pick, but the cap situation looks pretty good, and you could replace those missing pieces pretty quick.

A starting lineup that invovles: Collison, Rivers, Granger, Hansbrough, Hibbert, could be pretty good.

Who knows though. I may know nothing!

I think you're a year ahead of yourself unless a new labor agreement throws out the one year rule.

even if it were POSSIBLE for the pacers to trade for the first overall pick in 2012 then players like granger, hibbert and possibly collison would have to be included in the trade too... so a trade like this would essentially cripple the pacers

Its not worth it to get Rivers. 1. Rivers is an Undersized 2guard. 2. He's done nothing! He's not even going to be the number 1 pick imo. Don't get me wrong. He played well in HS. College and the NBA is a diffrent ball game.

The pacers are already not a top five team in 2-4 years. I could see a merit in blowing the squad up minus Tyler & Darren.

Dammit, I thought we could get through a season without a single fire sale post.

The squad is going to blow up this offseason, you basically want to change franchises.
