My mom sent me a text saying that one of the local news stations featured interview clips from Pacers players talking about their frustration with how many Bulls fans there were in the stands.

I don't live in Indy anymore, so just curious if anybody watched the local Indy news and could tell me which all players said what.

As long as those Pacer players know who the true fans are and that a lot of the real ones never left and/or can't get to Conseco. Hopefully this time next year, it will be all yellow, blue and white in the stands.

Don't live in Indy. Never have. But was close to buying a $150 ticket and driving 12 hours each way to see today's game. Fiance wouldn't let me though... WOMEN!!!! Would've been worth it after seeing the game.... damn

I don't live in Indiana. I've never seen a Pacers home game. I've watched them play live, though. One time it was Eddie Gill, Fred Jones, James Jones, Britten Johnson, and David Harrison starting. In any case, seeing a game at Conseco is a goal of mine.

I hear you, man. If I didn't have to help volunteer at church tomorrow morning, I would've made the 11-hour trip from the Twin Cities for the game.

On behalf of other Pacers fans (and likely the organization as a whole)...I apologize.

But yeah, definitely make it to a game at Conseco if you ever can. The stadium is awesome and is held in pretty high regard nationally. Lots of cool exhibits and photos and stuff to look at before the game. And honestly, there are no bad seats in the house. And when Conseco is a full-house (not like that nonsense today) and really rockin', it's incredible!

It makes me feel ashamed about all the years I lived in Dayton, Ohio (2 hrs from Indy) and never went to see a Pacers game

I've seen so many reports that (at least as of 2005, before the NFL started really going after new arenas) that Conseco was not only the best venue in hoops, but in all Big 4 sports. I've been to 5 different NBA arenas, and they've all been middle-of-the-road. I liked the one in Phoenix. The New Jersey one was just god-awful. Staples is not that good, and TD Banknorth (Boston) is alright...

Indy will have this neutral court disadvantage fixed next season... I guarantee it. Once Hoosiers get a chance to identify with this team, it'll be fine. The Pacers have to earn their respect, and I suspect Tyler Hansbrough and Paul George could influence some of the basketball purist in this state. We identify and savor talent.

By the way I live here, go to some games, and attend the lovely IUPUI university.

Chicago has more people than the entire state of Indiana. with season ticket sales down, it is no surprise that when many prime seats showed up on TicketMaster they were snapped up disproportionately by Bulls fans.

note the post by the guy who said he almost bought $150 seats. bet he would have made the drive if he knew that he could have bought seats for half that and been very happy. I took a quick look online at game 6 and I see $65 seats available in the lower bowl in the area behind the basket where I sit and $40 seats available in the upper deck.

if the situation were reversed and Conseco was sold out all year and tickets were available for a game in the United Center for a Saturday afternoon game, wouldn't you consider driving up? I can remember driving to Bloomington for Pacer playoff games in the ABA so you can bet I'd drive to Chicago. you know, if we could force a game 7, I think I will check with my Pacer ticket rep to see if the team has any tickets.

I live in Indy and was at the game saturday. I have never seen so much red in my life, it was crazy. It was a little embarrassing to see Bulls fans really take over the city. Many of those fans didnt have to travel. There are a large number of people that live in Indy from chicago. Either way pacers fans will come to life after this season I think. To be honest I cant blame most fans for not following the team after the last 5 or so years of off court issues.

On a side note: After being downtown during thursdays game and at saturdays game I must say Bulls fans are beyond obnoxious. After game 3 they were celebrating and taunting in the streets and bars like they won game 7 of the NBA finals. After game 4 many pacers fans were chanting "get the hell out of my house" which was comical to see bulls fans so deflated after how they acted up to that point.

Sorry, I'm up here in Cleveland. Lived in Indy throughout college, and saw the handful of games I could afford. Ended up doing my bachelor party in Indy a couple years ago and going to a Pacers game before ending up at the Slippery Noodle, though. That should count for something.

I live in Indiana, but often have to work on game nights (including this Tuesday). Sucks, but have to pay the bills. If I could afford season tickets, and didn't have to work nights I would be at every game. Just how the cookie crumbles for now.

Indianapolis is a 5+ hour drive for me. I didn't make it to any games in person this year, but I usually go to one game every season. It's an annual road trip tradition for me and my teenage son.

Grew up in Indy.
Became a Pacer fan when my dad and uncle John used to take me to the ABA games.
I have seen them in many venues but never very often. I used to watch all of the games on TV.
I now live in southern In.
I have Dish Network and can't even watch the games most times. Had to go to a bar to watch game 3.

yes, I saw Roger Brown tear up Rick Barry in a playoff series where our games were in Bloomington and I remember listening to the very first Pacer game of all on the radio at my parents house. that was my first year back in Indianapolis after graduating from school and I've followed the Pacers ever since. I wasn't old enough to be able to afford much of a ticket package in the very early years but if I remember right I bought a 10 game package in the first or second year of MSA. with the exception of a period in the late 70's or early 80's when I let some friends take over my tickets, I've had some sort of package ever since.

I took my now 40 something daughter to the Fair Grounds when she was too young to understand what was going on but knew to cheer for Big Mac. I even saw George play a high school football game at Washington. he played tight end and they'd lob him the ball and he'd carry the other team on his back for 10 yards.

Freddie Lewis was much better than Buse, by the way. in the Buse days I used to have season tickets in the sixth row behind the basket at MSA. they hadn't yet figured out they could make those premium seats by calling it a club section and I paid about $6 a game for those seats because no one wanted them. I sat right behind Danny Roundfield's baby sitter who used to bring an infant to almost every game.

I was born and raised in Elkhart, IN which is about a half hour east of South Bend. Up there, everyone loves the Bulls due to the proximity of Chicago. The reason I am a Pacers fan is from watching the glory days of Reggie Miller in the mid 90's. To this day the Pacers are one of only a few things that I am extremely passionate about.

I have been a student at IU Bloomington for 3 years and I usually make it to around 10 games per season. I was at Game 3 in the nosebleeds but wasn't able to make it yesterday due to the financial hardships of being a college student.

Dan Roundfield was a great player, though never for the Pacers. I've always been a Boo Boo admirer, since he led the ABA and the NBA in assists and steals in back-to-back seasons, and always made the all-D teams in both leagues. One of the most decorated forgotten PG's. Freddie Lewis was a more talented player, but I feel Buse was more effective.

My dad graduated from Washington with George, used to drive him to school too.

I didn't really pay attention to the Pacers until I was old enough, around the time of Vern.
