Glad to see Danny has some fire in his belly.....sounds like he was pissed after the game. That fire will serve the whole team well over the off-season. I was actually suprised Tyler shook Noah's hand after the game. I wouldn't have.

Glad to see he has fire in his belly after we are eliminated? This series Danny was just full of hot air. Talking alot and not backing it up. Scoring at a normal rate while letting Deng go off on us every game. Sincerely disappointed with Danny.

and maybe that says something about your character . It was two teams playing hard for 5 games (4 of which could have gone either way). Tyler might have played poorly in this series but at least he showed some class.

Granger stepped up his game this series. He upped his scoring average, and he shot at a MUCH higher clip than during the regular season. He also got over 3 assists a game, which means he was trusting his teammates more in a series when most players shot lower percentages.

His bitter accusations weren't necessary, but I feel like it was more of him trying to stand behind McBob and Foster.

Complaining that an opposing player is "dirty" looks like sour grapes here. Come on, Granger, take the high road next time. Congratulate the Bulls and start looking ahead to next year. Anything else just makes you look bad.

Noah is not a dirty player. Or if he is, then so is Foster and just about every other physical frontcourt player in the league.

Agreed that Granger played well in this series. Other than his postgame comments, he responded well to the pressures of the postseason. I think he'll build on this experience and be that much better in future years.

BUT

he was atrocious on defense which negated his offense. Deng outplayed him most of the series and whenever Rose got matched with Granger, Rose scored. Offense is only half the game M4E, and he got drilled on D.

Yeah, allowing Deng to shoot 41% from the field is atrocious.

My mistake for not taking D into account.

And of course Rose is going to score on Granger. That's a mismatch. Rose is supposed to score on mismatches.

Bulls fan here.

I love Granger's game. He backed up his talk against my bulls... and the Pacers should be happy with how well they played when everybody else overlooked your team.

Calling Noah dirty though? When you got Foster and your other bigs playing that "clean" defense? The refs let Indiana set the tone for how fouls would be called, and for 4 games the Bulls were bullied. Game 5, Noah showed heart and fought back. I wouldn't call that dirty - he was playing how the Pacers came out in the previous games. You could tell he was also playing with a lot of passion for his grandfather and sister.

It's obvious Granger let his emotions get the best of him and hopefully he'll mature and take the high road next time instead of complaining how when the opponent starts biting back, it's not fair. For those who are familiar with Noah's game - you know he's not a dirty player at all.

On another note i think this is Danny defender his team mates, and being a leader, rather then just whinging.

It's probably a little of both. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of him being vocal, hell it's what we need. But this seems a little pointless to me. Would have been better to do it after game 1 or 2.

Although, Danny was talking a little smack prior to the series, and his confidence seemed to rub-off on others.

Watch the tape. Deng was shooting WIDE OPEN jumpshots all the time (many times Granger would let Deng answer a big shot on his end at key points in the game) The % might be low because he had an 0-fer half in game 1 (followed with a big 2nd half) and disappeared for stretches in others. Still, Granger was giving up alot to Deng and it negated his offensive play, no if ands or buts about it. With Rose, Granger wasnt even in the same area code when Rose would take him 1 on 1. Yea he's going to have the upperhand...but everytime????

How many times did Granger have to check Rose 1-on-1? Based on that small of a sample size (3) it's not egregious if Granger allowed Rose to go 3-3. If it was 18-18 across the series, then, yeah, I'd be mad.

And how could you possibly not call Granger's 5% increase from the regular against Deng's 5% decrease "scoring at a normal rate while letting Deng go off on us every game." That's just an unfounded assessment. "WIDE OPEN jumpshots all the time" is also a false assessment.

Show me the film. You have produced 0 evidence to actually back up your point, and I watched all 5 games carefully. If I missed something, show me. Otherwise, I'm going with my observation from watching that Granger did a good job on Deng over the entirety of the 5 games. Were there times when Deng got going? Yes. Was that the norm the 5 games? No.

Overall, I thought Granger played better than Deng in this series. I agree with Miller4ever.
