Since you guys are Indy Fans and probably watched every Pacer game

So what are your impressions of him as an NBA player and him in the future...

And about his offense?

I know he can play D

Is he gonna breakout into that all star scorer or he gonna be like a trevor ariza?

He was my favorite player in college and oh, I was pulling for Indy against the Bulls.

Like this team a lot :D

My common sense is tingling. Time for some Hot Pockets.

He's an athletic, smooth player who has a smooth shot. He needs to work on some ball handling to get his own shot. He has great leaping and good timing for rebounds and blocks and dunks. His perimeter defense is good and he just needs to make better decisions on the court.

All true.

In terms of his offensive game, let's keep in mind that he's fairly young - only spent one year in college, and everyone knew he was a "raw" prospect. It's why I laugh pretty hard when opposing fans try to point out his poor FG and 3P%. He will undoubtedly get better at shooting the ball - his stroke is very good, there is simply no question that he's going to be at least a quality shooter in this league. He's tall and can get his shot off above a lot of players, reminds me of McGrady in that respect.

The biggest thing that will help him eventually is ball handling. He has very little in the way of iso game - this lets defenses plan a bit easier, since there's not a huge threat of him taking guys off the dribble. He will get better at this, but I don't know if he'll develop any post moves any time soon.

Defensively he's already quite good - this is this strongest point already. He can defend the 1-2-3, is quick, and has a very very good natural timing to get steals, blocks, and deflections. I'm pretty excited to see a George Hill/Paul George defensive combo, as it will be very very good.

All in all, Pacers fans think that Paul George will end up being one of the top 5 guys from his draft class, along with Wall, Cousins, Monroe, maybe Davis. Certainly expect him to be the best wing player.

I could see him becoming a very efficient offensive weapon, given how silky his jump shot is. He could easily end up averaging 20 a game at some point.

he can play O. as a rookie, he deferred a lot to the older guys. all he needs to fix his O is to believe he has a green light.

Your point is still valid but he spent 2 years in college not one. OVerall he is he needs to get his shot consistent but I think he will learn that in time. Athletically he is up there with anyone in the NBA.

Early in the season Paul was strong on his mid-range shot, yet was allowed to chuck it from threesville. I think he is the type of player that needs to get it going from inside the 3-point line, and then venture out when his confidence is up.

An apt comparison for Paul's potential would be if God played in the NBA.

Hopefully this offseason he will be working more on his shot, as his size and leaping ability are already very strong points for his position. A one-on-one game could be improved but he is still young so it'll come with time.
